Well I kind of moved near Toronto, actually.

lolololol I finally caught the fiend's boobs thing. Hilarious.

Those plastic demonettes are actually looking pretty good. I think a unit of maybe a dozen skirmishers would look better than a full ranked up unit. I don't the variety would be done justice in a full unit.

And I love how the Fast Attack Jugger unit counts as Infantry. Probably has fleet.

That is strange.
Blood Letters stick out their tounge
Plague Bearers stick out their tounge
Horrors stick out another demon.
Demonettes nothing. But a reborn Slaanesh Fiend which combines everything? i don't get it. But I still want their claws!

Anyone else except me sees some nice Corpse grinder Chaos Giant conversions coming up?

Dice Monkey, those Plaguebearers riding those SST burrower bugs are great. I think I've seen those before, but it's still really well executed.

My thoughts:

Soul Grinder - Looks good, wouldn't mind using it as a second defiler to add some character to my army
Slaanesh Fiend - BAD model
Slaanesh Deamonettes - Descent model, I like the older ones better
Khorne Character - Meeh, don't really like, don't really hate
Khorne Bloodletters - Better than second edition, worse than 3rd edition, I'll pass and ebay the older ones
Khorne Juggernaught - Not bad, but has no real place in my army because of the new rules
Khorne Fleshhounds - I like the model the most of all the Deamon Codex ones and may pick some up. Will work well with my 2nd edition ones.
Nurgle Plaguebearers - I think they could look better with a different paint job

Overall, 2 models I like, the rest are bad as far as I am concerned.

With a little paint the damonetts aren't as bad looking as I thought. I still prefer the metal ones, but these aren't a total loss either.

I find it quite odd that someone would take objections to having 'naked' models in a game that is based around constant, non-stop bloodshed.

well in defense, when I ran a squad of demonettes in my LATD army I used witch elf cheekas for that reason as well. I didn't need questions from the kidlets.

The models are so choice. I'd use them but they're like $40 for 10 and thats out fo the price range if I decide to use multiple units.

Hehe because the army of drug use and rape you to death doesn't raise any questions if the daemonettes are clothed?
Sometimes I think GW just needs to realize how dark their dark is in places, and just run with it instead of going for PG-13. If you are going to have armies like Dark Eldar and Slaanesh that bring sex and drugs into our wholesome ultra-violence, don't try and put a tiny black box over it to make it "ok." It's like when USA airs "Mall Rats" and has to completely redo all of Jay's dialogue. There is just no longer a point in showing it.

It's not the actual nudity the bothers me, it's how many immature gamers react badly to it. A friend of mine told me a story about a gamer he met who had a Sisters of Battle army and Dark Elf army, where the gamer, unprompted, commented. "I like boobies."

1. I didn't need questions from my kids. I could care less about the mall rats.
2. My kids aren't reading the codex. They just see what I paint.

It is disappointing to see that, with a few exceptions, these figures demonstrate the same skill level in place during the 1990s.

I never knewyou were that much of a prude Iorek. There is a certain level or immaturity and misogyny I expect from wargamers and it is about the same I would expect at a sports bar. So boobie jokes don't phase me, or put me off my game as much as someone sitting there with their arms crossed scowling the whole game.

Wait, Corpsegrinder Chaos Giant conversions? You mean like converting the Chaos Giant to look like the vocalist for Cannibal Corpse? Yes, I see that as a distinct possibility.

I also like boobies.

I prefer Slaanesh's happy strippers to the new goth chicks. Sure, the nekkid girls were more likely to cut you than give you a lap dance, but at least they won't read you bad poetry.

Do you mean the Witch Elves or the new Daemonettes? 'Cause the new Daemonettes (and Bloodletters) are going to be $25 Canadian, which I think is awesome, since that's $30-$40 cheaper than the current metal ones. And I like the look of the plastics, though I do admit the current metal Daemonettes are a little nicer.

Meh meh and meeeh

I like some of the models and the Juggernaut certainly is cool but I knowww its A) going to suck B) Be expensive
Bloodletters are cool but god those tongues its like so randomly visually unappealing.
And both Fiends I sorta detest.
Its like someone got the Spore creature editor and just went a little overboard. On both.

You know what? I'm going to go make rules for the Defiler Kindom army
I think that army will be 10x more badass.

Zoned I meant the witch elves. If the demonettes are US$ or so thats in my price range. I can convert a few with beastmen heads to go with my army.

After seeng a clear picture in the White Dwarf, I can confirm that the beast of Nurgle is much worse than anyone has indicated. It has my vote for the single fugliest model GW has ever produced.

That's what happens when you become a mod. You become a prude, or as we in the business call it, a company man.

Is GW making another strategic miscalculations with an all Daemon book?

GW definitely tries to attract the 12-16 boys. And parents are worried enough about kids and bad influences. D&D. Satan worship. Heavy Metal. etc., etc.

Is this going to be a major turn-off for parents?

Would a mom from a heavily Christian middle-America state be happy with their kid playing with daemonic toys?
