One thing to remember is that this set isn't really for the die-hard beardy gits that most Dakkites are; it's for the 12+ newbies that want to get started playing with a buddy. Compared to buying two Battleforce sets, the AOBR is a great starter set that you and a friend can split the cost of to start playing immediately.
I picked up the AOBR set for my son's birthday this weekend to get him started on 40K. While he really wants to play necrons, the orks and marines included in the set are really nice and he's excited about playing orks. The snap-together models are easy for him to assemble and have gads of detail that I appreciate as a hobby enthusiast.
I got it mostly for the rulebook which is a smaller version of the larger 5E hardback, but the value is great: you can't beat the number of models you get with a rulebook, dice, templates and a basic painting guide for the models included. If it's still needed, I can post pics of the 'copta sprues today...
