Ghastly photos, 99% finished. When I get some casts and chuck some paint on them I'll take good snaps of them.

Now the Zombie troopers are ready for sending to the forge I'm onto the next project: living versions.

Finally (after lots of tests sculpts that will never see the light of day) I feel i can tackle greatcoats. Reason it's taken me a while is I want to get a lot of movement into them which isnt easy when dealing with big coats, I dont want them flapping in the wind like the matrix but still want to have enough movement to make them look cool and jump out at you. These first four are going to be running and sort of ducking, dodging aside and making for cover. I'm thinking stalingrad: run and dive for cover.

These four will be trenchers, bit more static (they stand around in trenches and shoot) but again they have long'ish over coats so I'll be aiming for some movement on them.

IceSword, you get better with every sculpt. Good work, and those zombies look ace. Can't wait to see how the trenchers work out!

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

Still very much WIP but they'll start to come together soon. Torn metween making them multipart (heads and arms, people can slice the waistes themselves) or one piece like the old GW metals. I plan on having a LOT of these in a guard army so one part is appealing to me right now.

Quick snap of a raw Black Praetorian, freshly cast, still to clean up a few bits of flash.

This guy is really the start of the entire range, a blank/dummy really. I'll paint one up then the rest I got back from Troll Forged will be the basis for lots more, I want at least ten basic troopers. They're multipart too.

These are amazing. How much does it generally cost to get them cast, and what ends up being the cost per model?

Troll Forged Mini's do the casting for me, because they then sell them I get a few free casts for myself. Check em out : http://www.trollsforge.com/

These Greatcoats are slightly smaller than GW, they're 28mm but not 28mm heroic (same as forgeworld DKOK). They scale up(down) amazingly standing next to Space Marines. I'm thinking of doing a couple of 28mm heroic sculpts to let people make their own conversions.

Just a quick note. I have ordered from Troll Forged and they are great. The model I ordered (this guy http://www.trollsforge.com/alternative/slgdem1.jpg) wasn't cast as well as the caster would have liked, so he sent me the "flawed" original and a second. Keep in mind the first wasn't any worse than what you get from Armorcast of FW. The second was an excellent cast with very light mold lines, no airholes and only two extremely minor cast issues (two small tentacle tips didn't come through- took about 5 seconds to fix with a tiny bit of putty and not something anyone would have noticed). Oh, and he sent me an extra mini and base to make up for the trouble. Did a mention that that this is despite their reasonable prices? I paid $15 for something that would probably have been $40 through FW.

Great team and highly recommended.

Thanks for that jmurph. It's nice to hear good feedback instead of the usual instances where people only speak up when there's a problem.

I can't praise Troll Forged enough, the mini's I've received back are incredibly detailed, even more so than Forge World if you can believe it.

I'm actually sculpting for free at the moment (I consider a handfull of casts for myself the actual payment). I live in the UK and Troll Forged are based in the US, I've never met the Troll only conversed via email. The fact that I'm trusting him 100% with my IP should demonstrate his integrity.
