Proxies are fine. And if they are well converted, oftentimes better then the original models. Personally, I love proxies. Otherwise I'd have to spend 120 dollars on kroot hounds to field my current army list.
2 - The hobbiest - The guy who likes the minis for what they are, loves playing with painted armies, using offical mini's in a friendly setting. Wants to play on boards with good terrain.

As someone who hates cheapasses who field junk (like cheap toys) so that they can lay down a WAAC list, I would have no problem playing this list. It looks really good and coherent! What did this guys army look like? Does he maybe have some mental disability that makes him easilly confused?

Anuvver fing - when they do sumfing, they try to make it look like somfink else to confuse everybody. When one of them wants to lord it over the uvvers, 'e says "I'm very speshul so'z you gotta worship me", or "I know summink wot you lot don't know, so yer better lissen good". Da funny fing is, arf of 'em believe it and da over arf don't, so 'e 'as to hit 'em all anyway or run fer it.
