No they are not actually:
"A power fist is a power weapon, and also doubles the user's Strength"

Power Weapons:
"Models wounded in close combat by the attacks of a model armed with a power weapon are not allowed armour saves."

Neither are defined as one handed.

of course, it then goes on to say "Only a second power fist, thunder hammer or lightning claw can confer a bonus attack to a model equipped with one of these weapons." which makes the game divide by zero and break if we also say they dont confer a bonus attack because they are not 1 handed.

He said "fist", as in a closed hand used for punching..not "powerfist"

My remark was made in jest, and not referring to "powerfists" but plain old (although in this case: power-armored) fists.
