I think it depends on the intent behind the words. I don't often swear when angry, for example.

I swear while playing too, but luckily it's fairly acceptable here.
Not that it's an excuse, but yeah. I try to hold back, and do a much better job than I did in my youth. My wife can almost take me out in public without the cattle prod these days. But yeah, I still slip. Also, while I may have the proverbial potty mouth something fierce; I make it pretty plain I am not cursing at my opponent, or anything they have done. Very infrequently do my opponents do anything other than laugh at me, or take notes.

One of my bad habits is giving my opponents good advice.

When I play a casual game, I'm fine. I find that when I play tournaments though, I tend to treat it like work a little too much. I work a lot (perhaps too much, but I'm sure there are lots of people able to say that these days) and some of my habits like working through breaks and lunches aren't terribly healthy.
I tend toward the same behaviour when I play tourneys. Off to the races and here we go. I'll play my games with a focus toward efficient put 'em on, take 'em off and go from there. I'll usually help out somehow over lunch and keep going. The problem is that after full work week, I tend to use weekends as (at least in part) rest time. So, after a full work week, an early morning for the tourney and 8 or 9 hours of gaming, having forgot food and such, I tend to start to want fresh air, a nap, a nice pint, that sort of thing. The problem is that at this point, there's usually a game or two to go. I'm not a jerk in the last few games or anything like that (at least I hope not), but I hold no illusions that I'm as good to play during those games as the earlier ones.
That's my cross though. I really need to learn to take a little more care during tourneys and it'll sort itself out.

The BIG BIG problem with this, though, is when your good advice goes bad, either due to dice, or because it wasn't really that "good" in the first place. Then your opponent thinks you were just trying to get him to play poorly in your favor.

Somethings I loathe:
Correcting my opponent on something regarding THEIR army list rules-wise, finding that I AM correct, and them asking to "d6" on the rule because they state it's unclear.
People that don't know the rules what-so-ever. (New players aside.)
Unruly opponents. (Folks that are losing and completely take it out on me like it's my fault. I mean... Well, technically it is.)
People that bring the same unpainted miniatures in to play day in and day out w/ no progress.
Dice-throwers. (It's happened twice to me - different opponents. They get frustrated and throw their dice in anger.)
Back-seat 40Kers. (You know the ones... Sons' playing and Dad just has to throw in his two cents. Girlfriends' playing and the boyfriend has throw in his. Etc.)

I just realized the title said MY worst habit. Yeah, I've got one. Well, one that I know of at least...
I get easily angered when people come up and try to talk to me during tournaments. Friendly games are fine because it's all joking, but at a tourney I'm out for blood.

And so, due to rising costs of maintaining the Golden Throne, the Emperor's finest accountants spoke to the Demigurg. A deal was forged in blood and extensive paperwork for a sub-prime mortgage with a 5/1 ARM on the Imperial Palace. And lo, in the following years the housing market did tumble and the rate skyrocketed leaving the Emperor's coffers bare. A dark time has begun for the Imperium, the tithes can not keep up with the balloon payments and the Imperial Palace and its contents, including the Golden Throne, have fallen into foreclosure. With an impending auction on the horizon mankind holds its breath as it waits to see who will gain possession of the corpse-god and thus, the fate of humanity...... |

I highly suggest a monocle... For some reason. Try to fit in the word "Touche'." somewhere too. Oh, and as you run down units (i.e. Massacre.) raise a pinky to your mouth and in your best Dr. Evil voice say, "No... I expect you to DIE!" You may cackle at this time.

I also tend to take a mouthful of creaming soda and swish it around noisily and gargling it. Once, I saw the look on my opponent's face and started laughing, spraying creaming soda in vast torrents out of my nose and all over the table. Thankfully, we were only just starting deployment, so only one land raider got sticky.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made. |

Of course, my soda-spraying habit isn't restricted to Warhams. I do it most of the time when I have a can; at the internet/gaming cafe, at my friend's place, even in public.

That stuff is funny, I never get why people get so uptight regarding some jokes. I would've laughed my ass off if you said that to me. I get too gleeful when I'm thoroughly whooping ass (combination of good tactics, weak opponent and good dice rolls) and then I feel bad and sometimes back off the whoop ass a bit (which I really shouldn't). This leads into... When I'm thoroughly losing (combination of/and/or a better opponent, lousy dice rolls and poor tactics) I get really mopey and frustrated. Thankfully (unlike my younger days) now I just clam up and sport a scowl. I feel bad because sometimes the opponent thinks I'm mad at them specifically (younger players usually) and I'm really not.

I get forgetful and forget to bring in reserves or forget about certain units, even if I dropped them in to do a certain thing..I also overlook stuff right in front of me, like a squad of IG Vets with Meltaguns sneaking up on my Predator..I shot at the tank two feet away, but ignore the Vets that kill my Predator..
I also obsess about things I've misplaced, even though we play at my house and it will turn up during the week.

I also have this "Movement Nazi" thing I kinda think if squads are going to move they move move in bunched up groups 2 inches apart as par with unit coherencey you know how squads will normally look moving.
Not in lines........DEAR GOD NOT IN A LINE! I had to stop a game on Monday because of this....
Top of turn 2 and I was like "no no no" opponent looks up I was like "Not in lines troops dont move across the battlefield in neat little lines least of all Eldar" so I watched like a sentinel hawk as my opponent rearranged his troops into proper movement formations.
Its my tick I know and it sounds bloody insane.

I've been a Correctional Officer for over 17 years and we prison employees tend to have a very crude sense of humor when it comes to things like that. I sometimes slip up and will tell one of my non-prison friends something like "Do that again and I'll bend you over and f--- you!". The look of horror that I get is priceless.
As to my bad gaming habits, I have an annoying habit of "talking out" my opponent's dice rolls as i would my own. For example I will say something like "your looking for threes to hit, fours to wound". I don't know how I picked that up, and thnkfully my regular opponents don't seem to mind. However I did get a nasty comment from an opponent at a tourny who snapped "I know what I need to roll!" at me.
I also curse a bit. Although I do try to tone it down in public...especially when there are children present.
