Same here, im now a Battle Foam guy! Im totally sold!

I did try to fit in the flying stands last night and I got one in, but it seems an awkward fit and I had to force it which makes me nervous, so maybe im doing it wrong somehow.

Ill wait to see your pics to see how you intend it to go before I try it again.

Ok, so here are two topics that people asked for.

1st - The Sabol Sized Valkyrie Foam Tray. This can hold 1 Valk with removable wings, 4 Heavy Weapons Teams, or 2 Sentinels. It also has spots for 4 weapon swaps.


2nd - People asked about the Flying Base. Here are 3 pictures of the stand fitting in the trays. Note that the stand will fit in this way in all the trays regardless of it being GW, Sabol, or Battle Foam. Also note that some people may want to rap the base in a small amount of paper towel to keep paint from rubbing on the base. This is totally up to you guys. I will be doing an all Black Valk squad so paint is not going to be much of an issue for me. Also, once placed inside the foam the bases does not have any room to move around. Its a snug fit.

How deep is that sabol tray? and where do the wings go?

Question. How close in size is the Valkyrie to the Vulture? Will it fit in the same tray? I am going to get 2 Valkyries and am almost sold on Battle Foam, but would like to know if my Vulture will fit in the Valkyrie tray. As my FLGS has been out of Valkyries, I do not have one to compare sizes.

The New codex for Ig says say russ are squadrons of 3 any way you guys could fit 6 russ on 1 tray with sponsons?

thanks for the info, the sabol tray looks great. but now after seeing everything I'm starting to think maybe I can just get a "valkyrie bag" I plan to have a squadron of 3, and if each tray is 4", would I want to get a 432 bag and then all 3 trays will fit in there perfectly? I will probably just go that route since my sabol bags are all full anyway. Fitting 6 russes and lots of HW teams is also a nice bonus too

the wings (which obviously must be modelled as removable) go in the two horizontal slots next to each other in the corner.

kasrkinlegion - Yes, the trays will have a spacer to keep the paint from rubbing.

necros - I think you mean the 1520. The 432 only fits 6 inches of foam so you would only get 2 Valk trays in there but have no room for anything else. I would highly suggest going the 1520 route so you have room for tanks and troops.

raven322 - We can't fit 6, but we can fit 5 Russ. You can find this tray and other IG trays on our website.

Salted Diamond - I actually have a Vulture and it fits fine. The tail section is about the same size so it fits in the whole. Just remember that the Vulture will only fit in the Battle Foam trays with its wings on. Since the Vulture is resin, most people glue the whole thing together. That would require you to get the full Valk tray, not the one with wings on the sides.

H.B.M.C. - All the trays for Valks are 4" and have spots for the wings in the long box section on the tray. They must be removalbe.

Fantastic work, just one question would it be possible to get a BF tray with the Sentinel/HW slots, I see you have them for sabol and GW but not Battle Foam
