With these last pic, I come to the end of this build, at least for now. The lights are different than in the plans but both are as effective.

The cable is a thin strip of of heavy weight paper, slightly moistened and rolled into a thread like roll. Go over it again with a brush and diluted glue gently or you will unravel it.

I covered the front glacis with a trimmed sheet of cardstock to give it that continuous look.

The smoke /grenade launchers are rolled tubes painted gunmetal and can be placed where you please.

Thank you all for your comments. And as for you DC, I knew you were a youngster, especially when I gave you some mild sarcasm and you did not understand the meaning. Keep up with you painting and practice, you will do good in the future. You are welcome to the fuel cans to use as you will. For 1/35 scale, just leave them as is. For Warhammer and 1/48 scale, reduce them to 80%.

I do have a graphics background as a commercial artist as they were called back then, Now they are called Graphics Artist. My methods are old school, pencil pen and ruler. On occasion I will use the graphic programs to color and fine tune my scanned work.

My work is passable but there are others out there who make my jaws drop at their excellent works.

I hope that you have enjoyed my works, I will come back to this thread sometime in the future to update it.

This is looking pretty nice

How does the size compare with the normal Chimera?

If you build it to the size of the download, it will be about 1/35 scale. You will have to reduce the plans to about 80% or 90%. The hull is the same as the Chimera and the double tracks compensate for the external sponson boxes on the Chimera. Both are the same width, but this one one is a little longer.

The suspension, gunports, track width and skirts on your version are an improvement over the GW model. Nice!

Infinity: Way, way better than 40K and more affordable to boot!

That is a fun AFV and your links have inspired me to give this cardstock thing a try I'll be doing some basic terrain from some places linked to of Space Station 42 fairly soon.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

I am glad that some of you liked my project. I have a few more to come and for those die hard nuts and bolts thing on the hulls. I finally found my rivet hole punch that is small enough for the Chimera and other armor plating bolt downs. I am using it presently on my version of the Imperial Arty, modified as an anti aircraft platform. Pics will posted soon.

I never start a post until I am almost finished with a project or have finished a project. This way I will never have a half done build thread. You will not be saying "whatever happened to that project?... with me.

Keep in mind that even though they are paper projects, most of them can be transferred over to sheet styrene for the plastic purist. As for me, I mostly stay to one medium but on occasion I will mix paper, plastic, balsa wood and metal to achieve results.

Very nice like the feel of your chimera over the GW chimera version.

That is so awesome!!! I've tried making things with paper, but I just suck at gluing them, coz they end up uneven.

But thanks to you maybe I'll start again!!
