And why is he walking away from it anyway when he hasn't even scratched it yet?

Of course Ferrus Manus didn't do anything, Horus was swinging his head around after Fulgrim went apeshit and killed him.

if you read the fluff only abaddon, horus and maybe a few others were ever able to fully unit all 4 aspects of chaos and even then they would still turn on eachother, chaos is not a team player
