Whoa! Really nice job you've pulled off!

Haven't seen a Necron army in four years, and those were of the metallic skeleton type.
This is something else.

Especially like the c'tan conversion and the red gaussweapons.

Those are good and reminded me of an Necron Lord with Destroyer Body that someone did on another forum.

Rule #2. No Thread Necro!

"From the fires of Betrayal unto the blood of revenge we bring the name of Lorgar, the Bearer of the Word, the favored Son of Chaos, all praise be given to him. From those that would not heed we offer praise to those who do, that they might turn their gaze our way and gift us with the Boon of Pain, to turn the Galaxy red with the blood, and feed the hunger of the Gods."

The whole army looks great. I especially like what you've done with the deceiver. One of the best paint jobs on him Ive seen i must say. Overall great color scheme and a refreshing change from the standard necron colorings you see around.

Amazing job man. I really like the ceramic feel. Sadly I lack (for now, ha) the skills to produce decent ceramic schemes on Necrons so mine are just silver/metallic and a bit rustic/dirty.

I really like the lord's warscythe and the Deceiver looks incredible. I stumbled upon the Deceiver in your gallery a few days ago and loved it.

What did you use for the ruins on the bases of your warriors? Green stuff, sprue?

I painted my old necron army in bone colors too, back when they were "new"

http://www.timkline.net/wargames/necrons.html

I sold them all a while ago but now I'm about to get back into the army again, this time I'm gonna go with a rusted iron look

I got the blue rods instead since my guys are a dark blue color, the rods a bit light but they still look decent on my guys.

Where is the paint guide? My son is intersted in using this paint scheme.

This is a pretty awesome thread for several reasons.
One, those are some nice looking crons. Enamel work, too!
Two, it was started in 2009, and has been thread necroed every year since!
Three... Nope. Thought I had it but only had two.

Whoa, I remember seeing this awhile back. Have you built up your army since then? Just a tip: Since your gauss is red, I would recommend painting the indentations in the bone and the eyes red to create a glowing effect. I am currently working on doing the same for my army. Best of luck, hope you havent put down the brush on this army yet.

First off, this is a bit of threadromancy,
i sent a pm to raven a while ago asking if he was conintuing with the crons, and he said he might, so ask him that way for more specifics

Second, the paint scheme was on Librarium online, its really easy, prime white, wash with gryphonne sepia, wash again making sure to get it into the joints, then paint some nice coats of Bleached bone on the armour plates, leaving the sepia in the joints and nooks.
finally highlight edges with white
then paint the base and gun black
drybrush them with grey and white to create highlights

and your done....
link:http://www.librarium-online.com/painting/necrons-painting-guide-813.html (the page got removed from librariumonline it seems, too old, had nice pictures and everything)

and thirdly, im following this paintscheme for my crons so check out some pics on my blog below

Great colour scheme. Well done!

one question why is the lord on a 40mm base? They are supplied on a standard size 24mm troop base? Is this a legal base option? Nice white crons too, although i agree the lords need more brightness and bling to show their position of importance in the elite heirachy.
