Space Hulk and Adeptus Titanicus is what eventually got me into miniature wargaming. I am really looking forward to playing SH again! If the rules are good, I might have to go pick up some Hirst Arts molds to make my own ship layouts.

I call BS. There's not chance GW would put 20 terminators in a single box set.
I find it hard to believe as well. I would put money on two five man squads max.
I'm also glad I kept all my old-style genestealers (I have around 40), as I like them far more then the new ones...

The OP has already stated that HE made the mistake of saying 20 terminators as HE thought Terminators came 10 to a box (as he was told there would be 2 boxes worth of Terminators in there).
SO, we already have the correction of going down to 'only' 10 terminators.
The metal Broodlord kind of sticks out as a "Huh?" still though...

Just as we got plastic Dread & plastic Termies & plastic Bikerz & plastic Warboss & plastic Koptas, we will get a plastic Broodlord. But who knows - maybe GW will rewarm the old Tyranid Attack Warrior plastics...

I hope not, they were dire.
I doubt it also as they would agree. They dont fit the current Gw imagery for nids.
That is not to say Tyranid attack cant return, but expect modern scouts and Macragge style nids.

What? You don't like the spindly arms with the big clown hands and the pencil-necks with bulbous heads?
But as Tyranid Attack shows, GW can do large plastic Nid models for board games.
So assuming that any Broodlord in a mass-production boxed set would be metal is kind of silly.

If Space Hulk is what the "mystery box" is referring to then what would the "It is something that GW has never done before" be?

The something never done could be a boardgame with plastic and metal figs. While they've done other games with metal figs (Bombers Over Da Sulphur River), it only had metal figs. AFAIK, they've not done a mixed release. I think it's odd they'd release a game with mostly plastics and a single metal figure, but I don't find it os outlandish as some others. Maybe it's limited edition because of the metal figure, and they'll do a main release with a plastic version of the figure (maybe it wasn't ready in time to make the release date, maybe they have a shedload of metal ones they want to get rid of).

@Hwang Allowing for the low quality of the rumour so far I am excpecting plastic librarian and broodlord. This makes no sense for a limited release though, so metal brood lord and librarian sounds more likely, or a non limited release. Forget the broodlord for a moment, there is no way GW will limited release a plastic termie librarian. They can't be that stupid, can they?
@Fechik. I think BoLS got their rumours wrong. Assuming there is a release for something never done before I am still thinking on the lines of 40k version of Talisman, on the grounds that it is new and a boardgame. But I think and always thought that BoLS heard the wrong source on this one.

I've had some fairly reliable insider information that brings the OP's claims into severe doubt. This thread is now closed and I have had indirect contact with the OP's source asking to be removed from being mentioned in this thread.
