I don't really know what happened but tonight I saw the first episode of the 'new' show: The Jay Leno Show and it had a brief segment with Kanye West (who was there as the music performance with 2 other big names) where he apologized for his actions and fully admits he was out of line.

Meanwhile, has anyone taken time to consider the impact this event has had on the venerable body that is the Video Music Awards? There stands an organisation that has dedicated itself for almost as long as Taylor Swift has been alive to handing out awards to whoever happens to be a pop idol at the time, and where now is their reputation?
Will no-one stand up to defend the good work of Video Music Awards? And if the VMAs cannot continue, who will be there to recognise Best Female Pop Performance in a Music Video?

What made me laugh was the coment made by President Obama were not supposed to go out with the interveiw, they were apparently said "off the record" this makes it even more of a slap to Kanye as it is Obama's true feelings rather than scripted.
The sooner this annoying little man (Kanye not Obama!) manages to fit his over inflated head up his most likely slack backside and dissapear the better

Just watched the infamous clip and I lol'd. I guess Bill Burr and I share this quality in common: can be damn funny when gak happens to others.
I have a very low view on MTV and regular MTV viewers, this ordeal seemed right up their drama-infested alley and undoubtedly gave a lot of publicity to MTV, the hot chick, Beyonce, and Kanye West. However without 'em there wouldn't be this entertaining topic.

What if he is? As far as I can see, and as far as I know, he's still responsible for his own actions unless he is diagnosed as being below some kind of threshhold. Until then, he's still an assclown.

Like Taylor or not, what Kanye did was very disrespectful. I don't care for polka but I don't poke fun or disrespect people that do.
Kanye should realize as a rapper, albeit a very untalented one (talent defined loosely as most rappers don't have any talent IMO) that it takes talent to be where Taylor is today. I'm not HUGE into country but she is very good with her writing, her voice is excellent and she is very charming and down to Earth.
Beyonce`, who DOES have more talent in her pinky finger than Kanye has in his entire body, giving up her time in the spotlight so Taylor can have what Kanye took away from her (Taylor) really speaks volumes bout how classy she (Beyonce`) is.
I guess unfortunately I now have something I agree with Obama on. Oh dear....

A lot of these "rappers" were actually very talented people before the industry essentially raped them (very appropriate term for this situation).
To become successful you need talent, and I think this is always the case. To maintain success you need a whole lot more than talent, and more often than not that comes in the form of an agency who's primary goal is to squeeze every last goddam bit of worth out of your sorry ass.
Beyonce is talented, I cannot argue with that, but Kanye is a whole lot of other things besides that, and "Jackass" is clearly among them in one form or another.
