Yes, but do you really want to spend that many points, just so you can say "I'm fielding a genestealer army!"? Also, thanks for the pic advice FoxPhoenix135. I'm afraid I didn't take advantage of this when I took these pictures though, so excuse me if they're blurry.

I've also painted the bases blood red, to help them stand out on the table and to identify them. Do you think this is a good idea? My other options would be Lich purple, dark brown, or that ugly goblin green.

Two cheap things can make your bases look great:

sand or dirt and white glue (aka Elmer's). Put glue on the bases, throw on dirt or sand, then brush on watered-down glue (about 50/50 ratio of water to glue) and its good.

Oh, wow! Your painting has improved SO much! Good job on everything so far. I like the flesh on the Carnifex. I do second FoxPhoenix's suggestion for bases, though. Brightly coloured bases will ruin the look of your models. Go with something realistic or keep them plain black.

So I should go with brown, or would Dark purple look good? also, thanks!

I need help! Should I spray my gant black before painting, or should I just go ahead? I need to have them at minimum assembled before Saturday, and I would appreciate any advice regarding this.

erm, not sure if im poiting out the obvious in this topic but, in the new tyranid codex, 'stealers are both elites and troops, im not sure if the normal genestealers changed though the elite ones are different, they are called Ymargl genestealers and they have the usual Brood Telepathy rule and few newish ones, such as Dormant, they can pop out of any terrain piece big enough to house them all, and Morph, that is during their assault turn they can choose to gain either 1 toughness , 1 attacks , or 1 strength, though only for 1 turn...
