Hello there, my name is klawz, and I am hooked on Warhammer 40k. It's isn't just the models, which rock (except for DE and some daemon metals), and it wasn't for the game (even though I plan on playing a lot). I got hooked when I walked in my local hobby store, now closed, and saw an old 3rd edition tyranid codex sitting on the wall. That was 5 years ago.

List (so far):
Tergivon w/ all physic powers, toxin sacs, adrenal glands, scytals, and regen. (250 points)
3 Warriors, 2 w/ deathspitters and one with a BS (110)
2x Broods of 16 non-upgraded 'gants (160)
total: 500

Goals (for Jan and Feb.):
Build Tergivon
buy 32 Gaunts
Play a planetstrike game
Win

Thanks for the comments everyone! hopefully I will have the entire 500 point army done by March, so I can work whether I need that Trygon, or should I get a Mawloc?

I feel sorry for anyone who decides to fight you...

hehe i likes your thinking ^^ throw enough rending at an oponent and people WILL die. i have 30 stealers and i loves each one. only thing id watch out for would be games with open ground. you think you can get to the enemy in the first turn, only to falls hort by a few inches.... oh the pain of rapid fire....

Tell that to my nemisis who recently flayed me apart with his BOLTGUNS. Those things ingore genestealer armor saves, and have enough range to shoot at me across my living-room table! From now on, I'm sticking to flanking first turn.

Huh. Glueing Genestealers is harder than I thought, I'm going to buy some easier glue to work with on wed. Most of the first brood is painted, however, and I promise to post pics, done or not done. Thanks for the advice, this was just what I was thinking (I plan on playing on a cityfight board, covered in nice piles of rubble, as well as some big ruins).

I really hope they won't do that. Maybe broodlord will give them help (like turn them into troops?)

Try to put it on a table and take the pictures from there instead of holding the models

And remember, you need lots of light to take pictures of models. You also don't need to put the camera close to the model. Most of the pictures in my gallery are taken from about 1-2m away (depending on the size of the model and how much light I have).

I too am a stealers fam and have my tyranid army built around them. Look forward to seeing more (and hopefully less fuzzy) pictures of your work.

1 warrior with extended carapace, barbed strangler, toxin sacs, devourer, and enhanced senses.
2 warriors with " " and deathspitters instead of barbed stranglers
dakkafex.

may i suggest (providing it will be a genestealer swarm) you go on ebay and buy the 22 from spacehulk? you can get them relatively cheap (i got 22 for 20 squids) and it would realy boost the swarm aesthetic

It's kinda becoming more than that, as I've discovered that I'll get shot to death by SM bolters.

Hey about the 25 gaunts with endless swarm make It two squads with endless swarm, because endless swarm is meant for smaller squads IMHO.

I won't be surprised at all if genestealers get a nerf. They have the WS of a Smurf chapter master. Does that really make sense?

Also, genestealers aren't the most common of things in a nid swarm, they are the vanguard, they go ahead of the big ol' swarm and infect the populous etc...

Anywho I wouldn't worry about it, I bet you if Genestealers get to be Elites there will be a special character Genestealer that will make them troops. Maybe a broodlord will...

All I really got to say is keep on makin that army!

Don't worry about smurf bolters, get a carnifex and see how effective they become.
