I've written 2. I think it depends on your age. If you're in high school, you'll be ridiculed even if the note did turn her on. In uni, or later in life, there is a better chance of it working as both of you are removed from the non-sensical peer groups of high school.

This is true if your immature and growing. Don't get me wrong, it will always be a part of the equation, but human relationships are not usually that cut and dry. Unless you are in Tijuana. And drinking. And your friend is in the bathroom not keeping an eye one you. And you just got out of a relationship. Another problem with that statement is that it doesn't have to be the opposite sex. Initial attraction may be mostly about the biological imperative to reproduce but that is not the same thing as 'love'. Love is more like getting up in the middle of the night when you don't want to to take you significant others little brother to work because he overslept and missed his. The idiot. Not that I have ever had to do such a thing of course. Just hypothetical.

Out of interest, how many of 'the non note-writers' are single?

I'm a note-writer. So's my fiancee.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".

Still workin' on it. I found a good japanese word to write, but I don't know if I should write it in english or in japanese and put it english word under it. Or should I do something else? Oh, and I am on break until Monday.

Write it in English.

If you write it in Japanese and make an error, you may look foolish.

O.K. But she is not Japanese, the japanese word in english is daisuki, which means "I like you alot" very close to "I love you", which I do not know the word of, so daisuki is close enough.

This is true if you are like under 25.

@ OP the Japanese word/phrase for "I love you" is "kimi wo aishiteiru."

No. As I pointed out earlier, even if you reduce down to chemical reactions in the brain, the chemical reactions for lust are very different to the chemical reactions for love.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

The urge to have sex and finding people attractive doesn't disappear after 25.

Notes have alwais worked heaps for me, there are some things that boost your chances of success. Like knowing what she likes and using references to something only the two of you share like a hobby or a nice memory – vacation/first date/funny moment, favorite song/movie/show etc.
