I have question about LotD especially now I am interested in getting at least one of each.
Every time someone talks about them they say they are not worth it.
So has any one used them and how did they work?

I love playing with the Legion and now I will love buying that Multimelta guy.

Unkillable?

You're just as killable as a regular tac marine if I am shooting you with AP 4 weapons or worse, there is no difference.

Just pummell you with bolter fire and flamers.

You are bound to fail a bunch of those 3+ invuns, and your units are pretty damn expensive!

Finally, a MEQ that appeals to me.

So, any info on the FW figs that were displayed some time ago?

I like the direction GW is going with marine body proportions just like the new Space Wolf , these look slimmer or taller or atleast not haunched.

They are better than I thought they'd be. I'll probably get that heavy flamer marine.

I really like these minis, and will be adding them to my vanilla marine army after I finish up the Wolves. A bit pricey, but it'll be good for my FLGS.

Why do so many people complain about their prices? Sure, they are pricy, but not that much more than Sternguard. Jeez, only 5 euros more than Sternguard...
Thought the heavy weapons cost too much, I must admit that.

Yep. The best way to win every game you have is to make an enemy roll a ton of saves, because he will fail a chunk of them most every time. This makes any smallish unit that costs a lot of points unfavorable to me, and LoTD are high up there point wise.

It just struck me, the legion are the same price as GW's metal veterans, and sternguard.

I suppose I was hoping for a box of 10 metal marines for £30, but I can see how they have to keep the prices of their models relative.

I'm coming around to the idea...I want Legion!!!

I thought £8 for hero figures is a bit out of hand but £5 per model for infantry?

For some reason I thought that the LotD were physically on fire, with actual flames pouring off their armour rather than just painted on. I do like them, but they don't look all that Damned to me to be honest and now the *wow* factor is wearing off a bit. They've got skulls and flames stuck on, but lots of Marines have skulls and flames stuck on. They don't even have much in the way of bones sculpted on their arms and legs either, and only a couple get proper ribcages. I wish they'd gone all out on them.

I guess, technically, he could still count as having a pistol and another pistol, since he has to give up his bolter to get the plasma pistol...

Unless you're allowed to pick more then one weapon from the list when you replace your boltgun?
