(yes i know GW does sculpt male models with breasts and long hair.. those dont qualify as female due to the heads being basically the same as the men!)

Yeah, and we are working on a MK2 set of females with some improved practice as well as female Cadian Torsos

LunaHound wrote:These are the very same heads as back in the sculpting phase right?

Yes, I do think a couple of the heads need better symetry on the eyes as well, but the sculptor is doing another set as a second attempt

Sarrazon wrote:Hmm. I watched these on the other thread, and was with most everyone else in saying they needed some major work. Now... I'd say they still need improvement, but a good paintjob can do wonders. I still think that some more practice should've been put into it before anything was released (and personally, wouldn't buy these), but not nearly as bad as I expected. Good on you for that.

(And certainly, better than almost anything GW has done in the way of female faces)

Thanks, practice leads to perfection, and the sculptor can see whats needed I am sure.

Reaper Man 2020 wrote:I like the mark one rhino parts! Really takes me back to when a box of three rhinos was £10! Man I'm old!

Yeah they have been super popular, I am having a tough time keeping them in stock!

Savnock wrote:Wow. Gonna be honest, because I like your stuff a lot"

The female heads really, really stink. The previous criticisms of them still stand when painted- even moreso, actually, as the asymmetry and mishapenness of the eyes is more apparent. No offense to the sculptor, I hope- these are an okay starting point, were the eyes, noses and the flattop hair totally redone. The rest of the hair is good, though.

I really hope you didn't sink much money into these. The rest of your line is really good, and none of us would like to see sculpts like these bring you down, either in quality or financially.

It was a small investment, and I think it was worth the learning experience as well for the sculptor. If hobbyist dont want them, they can wait for the next set, but I also think when you get down to it, these are so small, when they are on the table, will you notice anything about the eyes? Or will you notice the female hair?

To each their own

By the way, I just got the masters of the metal Ymargl genestealer heads and the resin "Aliens" gaunt heads. They are awesome and will be produced this week!

Keep working on them.

the previous comments on them still stand. I want to see the next batch please before I say anything else about them anymore.

No idea, as FW has a ton of bits and I do not know what ones your talking about.

In any case here are some god-awful shots of our bits on a model.

Very interesting Rhino kits. I like the Armored Predator and Rhino.

Those female human heads are way below your usually high standard of stuff, though. Personally, I would have taken those, seen what you did wrong, and then made what will be the second wave, the first wave. I mean, I don't mean to shove it down your throat, but these are really bad. They look like anime characters that got slapped repeatedly with a very large ugly stick. I think, by selling these, you are lowering the standard of the product you are selling, but hey, I'm sure some people will buy them.

Like five people .

P.S.

I'm drooling at the arrival of those Stealer heads. Especially the one with the tentacles flayed open, ready to suck out some brains. Yummy .

Very impressed with the ymargl stealer heads. However I can't say I like the xenomorph ones, but that's just a personal preference; the sculpts are spot on.

Really eager to see your take on the boneswords and lashwhips...

I love the Xenomorph heads, and I am really looking forward to ordering a few.

Also, I am quite excited about the Alien Landing spore. I hope the first "shelled" concept drawing will be done.

Ad for the Eldar, I must say I am slightly skeptical. The robed jetbike riders are excellent, but the female Farseer is disturbingly "well endowed"; compare to Howling Banshees.

I am quite excited to see Chapterhouse studios branching into my two favorite armies.

One quick request: Could you take a picture of the Xenomorph head on a Genestealer body? I am curious to see how well it fits considering the Xenomorphs are very similar to Genestealers in design.

I also wonder if you will ever get around to making Space Marine shoulderpads with gears on them.

The Alien heads are alright....but the teeth look a bit strange to me. The Alien have more human-style teeth rather than a mass of needles.

Don't go the "anorexia-with-huge-breasts"-route please. The farseer should imo loose some cleavage. Or the hips need to be bigger. But then you are competing with soda-pop...

I don't quite get the crater honestly. Am I seeing this right, because I think that it's coming out of the ground. The last time I saw a crater it was more in the ground...

We have two Iron Hand type pads coming out. One will feature a single cog

The crater comes with the spore pod kit. It is also meant to double as a trygon emergence hole, sorta a freebie 2-for-1 deal.

So, I ordered the Predator armor kit, and I'm pretty impressed. It needed a little work to fit in right, but no more so than any other resin piece. It looks good, all said and done, and I was able to detail it nicely with my bits box.

My only criticism is that it's incompatible with the FW Rhino dozer blade kit, wthout serious cutting and filling. I don;t blame Chapterhouse for this, nor do I score it against the product. Just something to be aware of for anyone who plans to mix and match the two pieces. If Chapterhouse releases a dozer blade that seamlessly fits, I'd probably snap the FW one off for the chapterhouse one.

Yet you keep hoping and chech our thread

Chaos is wierd.. we get quite a few request for pads, but GW owns those Icons, and theres not much you can do to a specific rune to make it original.

We could use the Chaos Star, but with all the GW bits with the star, what is the point..

When is adepticon? I just had notice from the sculptor, he is trying to finish the greens this week for the 6 arms (2 pair of Boneswords, big and small; 2 Lashwhip arms (big and small)).

If that schedule is good, they should be ready in 3 weeks for sale.

Adepticon is March 26. If they're ready in 3 weeks, that should work. (Much later than that, though, and it'll be too late, as shipping from you to me can't be instantaneous.)

I think we are way too young for an adepticon presence. I have done trade shows before (not this hobby) and it all comes down to preparation, marketing, design of package.

Next year we may make the attempt though, this year is all about product developement and catalogue growth.

As it is we used to get 30-40 hits a day on our site, now its 500 and growing. That is a great growth factor when you consider the site is not even a year old.

Nice natural look, not perky boobs that count as an additional hand weapon. As said, I don't dig the heroic scale on body proportions. Consider me a happy buyer when these come out. Combined with the Jetbike kit and the bone swords...

I would love to see your sculptors take on building a Conversion Beamer for the SM Master of the Forge.

Great piece of kit for a guy many use to get their extra dreadnoughts in, actually, the only useful load-out for him. It is just hard to make something that looks like it truly belongs with the model.

Q: How many of a specific demographic group are required to carry out a simple task?
A: An arbitrary number. One to carry out the task in question, and the remainder to act in a manner stereotypical of the group.
