Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

I kinda like the small chicken wire you used more, although I would add a small strip of plasticard or cardstock to lay over the top to make it look a little more rigid. Shouldn't be too hard since you're not finished with it

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

Nice work getting back to zero. Don't lose heart. I'm supposed to strip, re-build, and re-paint way more SM stuff than that...

This is SO weird, I have this exact(almost) conversion in my guard army!

I have never even posted pics of it either. WEIRD!

Are you suggesting that I remove this pic before someone sees it and makes fun of me?

No, not at all. Just that we both came up with it on our own without seeing it on the interwebz and stealing the idea. Since I just saw yours and have never published mine.

I personally like them both!

Alright could you show me your list of your army?

Your chapter is pretty good. But I think the 4 legged dreads are not what i call awesome. I like don't get me wrong but I like regular dreads more than 4 legs.

After seein his 4-legged dread, I'm kinda tempted at givin a Chaos conversion a try...just don't know if I wanna risk destroying that many expensive bits

1 month on and back to the beginning, you're a braver more patient man than I my good fellow. seriously though its been awesome watching your progress through this project, so keep up the posts.

Oh and I said it in your other post but i'll say it again get a dread on tracks, would love to see that. you said it yourself templars can't have thunderfire cannons so theres your base right there, lol.

ps. don't let my bank manager find you, you inspired me to building my own White templar army. I think however I may have blown the budget a little though....

I don't know what you heretics have been up to but my White Templars and I are still spreading the light of the Emperor to the rest of the galaxy.

my marshal:

What front armor plat do you like better? (the weapons are interchangeable they have nothing to do with the plates I’m going to chose)

plain:

Brass etched Templar:(those plates are both bent the same way, 1 is just tacked on upsidedown in the pic)

standard:

I'd go with the standard. Which kit do those plates come from? I've only seen that bit in the new Ven. Dread kit. Did you get a preorder or something? :S

Finally got the basic wash on and I think it looks pretty good. Next will be dry brushing over with a slight off-white and then the robes in red. My only fear now is that vallejo white won't cover well. Any thoughts on a better white?

I really like that little bit from the Sisters of Battle on the Emperor's Champion, it really make the model look sweet

They look great, congratulations! A for white, the Foundation paint range white is pretty effective.

Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

The effect the wash is leaving on them looks pretty awesome, especially on the noble battle-brother named "dude". Also, in the picture with the chappy, I couldn't help but notice that bottle. Either you like very dark beverages, or are in dire need of a new spitter.

Really nice stuff! The servitor with track-"leggs" is awesome. I also like the idea of a four legged Dread, though it seems to me that the two legg-pairs are a bit to close to each other. It looks a bit clumsy as it is now.

Is the metal a little too rusty. Bad question the flash is making it look even more rusty

Really nice sternguard Roleplayer!

I had my girlfriend look at my bases last night to let me know what she thought of the colors (I’m partially colorblind as mentioned earlier) and she told me the grey looked kind of bluegreyish. I looked agian and she was right! I used the adeptus battle grey from the foundation color line for the dry brushing. Can anyone tell me if this is a blue/grey and if so what's a better option in citadel paints. I don't think I can come up with any fluff for why all the building rubble they are standing on is slightly blue.

...good thing these didn't take me a really long time

AND what is up with all of the Citadel greys have a slight blue tint to them? Is it because of those damn Space Wolves?

I think all of the bases could benefit from a touch of earth tones (except for the ones with rusty metal). If you think of it, armour consisting of greyish white and metal on a grey base. It's going to look like an old timey black and white film. But I guess it depends on what other colours you'll use on the tabards, iconography etc.

where am I? *looks around* Well i'm...errr...I...I...don't know!

Since your marines are gonna be a very dark white/almost greyyou might want to put more colour on the bases to liven them up...To much grey will make them quite drab. Some bits of grass would look quite good.

Nice stuff though!

Oh and say that there is a lot of (insert chemical name here) in the atmosphere and it tints the stones a blueish colour...that may work
