It's because while satistically 4's to wound with a re roll is better than just 3's to wound. It felt like I was paying to get less wounds.

you don't wound on 3s, you still wound on 4s with the reroll because poison is wacky that way - str is irrelevant for what you roll to wound on - it just affects if you get the reroll or not.
Great report though, and good job! Your sig line ruined the suspense ;-)
I liked the unit analysis as well.

This is an awesome report. Seeing those units in action is pure gold for someone like me who copy your list. Thanks for the analysis. Good food for thought.

Haha I didn't think thaat anyone actually read my sig .
Also that's how I playe poison, I just missed wounding on 3's even if I had a reroll at 4's.
No problem new player, I actually kind of flattered that you're getting something from all my work.

I noticed that you walk your army up front form time to time, would you ever consider running your elite slot like this?
Deathleaper
2x zoans + pod
3x Hive guards This one saves you 20 pts to pick up Onslaught for your non-flanking tervigon. In some games, you run your non-flanking tervigon up there. The Hive guards can company it. Gaunt baby grants hive guards cover save, and hive guards grants tervigon cover save.
or
Deathleaper
3x zoans + pod
2x Hive guards?

Sure, in fact those are fince choices for elite slots. I prefer zoanthropes because in games where I do decide to deep strike the hive guard are utterly useless. But some first turn shots when I deploy would be nice. It's all preferance, I find the hive guard's range too much of a handicap even with onslaught. Also if I were to run my elite like that then I'd have to buy and pnd paint more models which I'm not in the mood for.
The list wont lose much by doind something like that. It loses a reasonably signifigant amount when it deep strikes and ganis only a little when it deploy, although it does reduce KP's. That's really a prefrance call and only actual play testiing and real expierience will give you the answer to that. NOT a post on a forum.
