Worked up would be me taking the time to flame and inform you that not everyone's been involved in 40k as long as either of us have been, and might just be unaware of the original linkage between Xenomorphs and Tyranids.

As it is, I think I'll just put you on Ignore as you never really seem to contribute much to the forums other than ridiculous animated avatars and 4chan references.

Gw has already ripped off and incorperated all my favorite Aliens into the game. so im content.

4.) Obvious candidates for Xenos are new allies for the Tau empire. I vote for catgirl schoolgirls with katanas (cc units at last!)

This is a really excellent point.

The Geth from mass effect could be interesting, which also ties in with the whole Terminator vibe of machines destroying their creators and actual A.I. as opposed to the Necrons souls in a metal husk approach. (which is by all means just as awesome)

Perhaps a Combine style army(from the half life series), in which living creatures are enhanced with technology. Species enslaved, re-educated and either absorbed or destroyed depending on their overall usefulness. Kind of like an evil Tau now that I think about it.

Critters would be the ultimate horde army. They got shooting attacks already with those stun spines. Heck I could see a rule where when you have 50+ of them, they get into a giant rolling ball of eating fury.

Gremlins would be interesting as well, albeit only ever playable under night fighting rules

Oh, and anytime someone mentions Rancor, it reminds me of that scene in the pineapple express movie where the black dude tells saul to get into the hole and he's like "Whats in there? competivly/fluff wise i would seriously consider Some races from the Mass Effect Universe (totally support the Geth Collective Idea) organized in much the same manner as the Tau (as far as multitude of races are concerned). Though it'd probably would be boiled down to the Citidel Races circa ME2; Humans, Asari, Salarian, Turian.

The Galactic Empire from Starwars i can totally see surviving in a 40K universe, as with either the jedi or sith from the Old Republic Era.

Now Eldar, Nids, and Space marines competing against both their HALO and Blizzard counter parts (3 way FFA for each) would be very interesting

for those that dont know:
Space Marines= Terrans = Spartans
Eldar = Protoss = Covenant
Nids = Zerg = Flood

though the covenant would be more comparable to Tau as far as a multitude of races. And the Flood to Nurgle


Both Chuck Norris and Captain Falcon could be stand alone unique units, both costing at roughly 700-1000 pts each

i think flood would win unless nids gain immumity.
