I still think a Behemoth (or Ouroboros) coloured Drop Pod would be helpfull to customers. This one is again mainly white.

I've seached for Hive Fleet Ouroboros, but my seach-fu is weak - please enlighten me...

I would go Behemoth as everyone knows it, but Ouroboros is the Hive Fleet in Imperial Armour 4 and used by Moloch:

It is green/beige (actually modified gretchin green and rotten flesh), here my version:


Long version:
Carapace Gretchin Green, body Rotten Flesh, joints/details Dwarven Flesh (in your case the holes).
Then plenty Ogryn Flesh over everything (much better than old Flesh Wash I used in that pic).
Then drybrush Rotten Flesh over Carapace. (other details also after this step, like claws Deneb Stone accentuated with Gryphonne Sepia etc.).

Moloch's painting scheme, that inspired mine, is of course much more sophisticated.

It just occurred to me... is the dimpled surface of the inner "egg" portion done that way on purpose?

I wasn't sure if it was because the core was originally foam, or if it was modelled this way.

If it is on purpose... what about just a nice wash on that portion to bring out the texture even more? Kroothawk, I think your color scheme would complement that model really well. Hoping for a pic with something like that!

If GW does a version it'll be $40-45 WITHOUT shipping and probably not look MUCH different (though who's to say).

If FW does one you know it'll be around $80+ for probably not much more detail with lots of resin pokey things that will break within the first hour of gaming.

I'll still wait on Navarros but not bad looking.

It is very much on purpose, we wanted a textured leather-like like look.
Something that looked like skin and would hold a wash nicely.

Well in regards to the open one, Klaus (Steelmage99) is working on an update with pictures of some different internal textures. I'm sure he'll post something soon, (he's working nightshift atm so he's kinda in Zombieland! )

As to the alternate closed one...Well the sales on the first one went through the roof, so we've been to busy selling in all honesty! But seing there is an interest in it, I'll start working it up this weekend, we also have some ideas for ripper-tentacles and spiky-arm-things that I really need to focus on (Damn you IG AirCav!! )
