I was chatting with a highup guy from design, most everything is in house now, which allows them to push the envelope further to get more out of the frames and moulds then they used to and faster then they used to as well.
To quote, he is seeing stuff now in development which wont be out for 2 years and make the current stuff look rough as bugger. As example, the new skaven, so much better and finer moulding then the last iteration, the stuff in the pipe is even better again!
.
If that's not just hyperbole or pride in his work speaking then it's very interesting indeed.
I'm struggling to imagine even higher quality plastics, I was utterly amazed when I opened the Killa Kanz recentley.
Cheers for the insight. :thumb

Also said out of the 20 plus designers working for him most can now work exclusively in cad, but don't.
He was telling me about the technology, force feedback controllers.... So the sculpters work on screen, but can 'feel' the material they are sculpting with the tools they are using!
He's one of the old school sculpters and is as amazed by it all as anyone else!
Oh and I'm polite enough not to ask him about what was being worked on, NDA's and all that, just makes for unpleasent silences.
Genuinly nice guy though...
