Umm, why assume it's his fault? He's been billed 4 times and only received two items for a start.

Because it very likely is?
My former employer spent an outrageous amount of money on QA for stuff like this, out of probably 20,000k+ bugs reported, maybe 3-5 were the systems fault, the rest were changes that had to be made to stop people from using the system improperly.

Its always stuff like "hey I double click this button, it goes through the system twice, but when it prints out for the guy in the warehouse and he gets 2 identical invoices, he tosses one because he assume's its an error" or "if I have 25 firefox tabs and facebook open ___"

A large corporation is going to have a policy in place and you are going to get screwed and a small business will likely have the time to track down your order, a medium sized business like forgeworld I wouldn't be surprised if they have a billing person come in for a few hours weekly or one day monthly to keep invoices in order.

what he needs to do is
1. gather up all the account/order/credit card statements/whatever he can
2. call them give them whatever information they need, give them a reasonable deadline "well, next friday is the deadline for when I a can contest this on my credit card, so I'd like a phone call back on monday, if not i'll call you back on tuesday"
3. don't be a douche
4. wait

But really, I cant blame FW for taking their time especially with the people that get extra things by accident advertising so loudly on the internet.

Excuse me, but first of all, I'd appreciate if you'd take a moment and hop off your high horse, and stop blatantly trolling.

Did you even read the thread? Regardless of if I double clicked the order button (which I didn't in the first place) they charged me four times. They charged 4 times the price of the item I ordered. If you think that Forge World (or any moderately successful company) has a policy that says "if our site screws up and charges you a bunch of times, then that's your problem" then you need to give me some of whatever you're smoking.

No, what I need to do is email them (which I did) and expect them to give me my fraking money back, or I'll probably end up taking it up with a lawyer.

Here in America, we have a little thing called freedom of expression, and freedom of speech. This is a forum and a community. If I want to bring up a topic about how Forge World screwed up and charged me 4x (whether as a general discussion, or a warning) then I am perfectly within my right to do so (without people bashing me with tongue-in-cheek remarks such as the one above). This isn't me saying "HAHAHAHA I got two things and was only charged for one!" they charged me $300 and only sent $148 worth of merchandise (when I only ordered $74).

This is an obvious overcharge, and I expect it to be dealt with. If they want the models back, they can have them, I just want my god damn money back.

If he's been billed twice and received two items then a double click is certainly a possibility. But being billed four times and only receiving two when you wanted to order one? That's not right. Part of the problem is at their end because they have taken money for items not dispatched.

However, here on the internet, your exclusive national freedoms are suspended, and ones granted to you by the site are put in their place.

Enjoy. :3

As to your problem, just work it out with Forge World. I'm sure you're not about to be screwed over. Being charged 4 times for one order (potentially two, even if the second was an error?) is totally insane. On a second note, I wouldn't get too excited over keeping the accidental shipment. Don't touch it for now. If they let you keep it, celebrate. If not, try not to have a fit.

I forgot to mention...
If the added amounts are putting you in a fianancial hardship, like they're making it close to you overdrafting your account, it's that much more important for you to file the Reg E request form.
That will give official notice to your bank that those funds should still be in your account. Most banks, in this case, will forgive or not charge overdraft fees if this incident causes your account to go negative, provided the issue is found in your favor (and why wouldn't it?).

Should your account overdraw, you will have quite the difficult time getting a retailer to refund those, as well.

Indeed. I got in contact with Forge World, they refunded me all three overcharges, and allowed me to keep the extras as an apology for the inconvenience.

So, although I lost a chunk of money for a while, I suppose there was no harm done in the end.

Well according to my account, they did indeed refund the promised amount of cash ($222).

Because, apparently, the turret ring is a bit different on the two.

Err, I ordered it as a full resin/plastic kit so I'd assume it was the old Russ... it is slightly different from my Demo.

Glad to hear that it all worked out for you mate.

It's pretty Gakky when this sort of thing happens, but accidents happen, 99% of companies will do their best to sort these things out as quickly as possible. FW are renowned for cock ups, be it with ordering, casting or missing and miss-picked items, however they are also renowned for being very good when it comes to sorting these problems out. Apparently the new website has made the guys jobs a lot easier so hopefuly this will mean less mistakes in future.

Enjoy your free resin mate
