No Kidding...what's up with the triple post...lol... but thanks for the comment. :-)
I was thinking perhaps $175 or 200 plus free shipping....but i'm not sure. I was thinking of making 3 at first and see how they do on Ebay or perhaps via commission.
What did you mean by the "brass photo etch?"

The brass photo etch is the brass metal plate behind the cockpit. Tamiya uses them a lot for details on some of their WW2 tanks. The it is basically a laser cut sheet of brass.

Sorry if I missed this in a previous post, but what did you use to cut the press board into the appropriate templates?
Overall, great job on scrounging and finding a wallet-safer alternative to FW! I hope I can be as diligent as you when I get around to my own T-Hawk.

To cut the press board i just used a had jig saw and a radial arm saw. I had to cut real slow along the line with the jig saw. From now on I will just use a table saw for some of the longer cuts and only use the jig saw for the shorter angled cuts.
Good luck on your T-Hawk!

Hey guys I thought I would give you a little information. The pieces of "pressboard" that i found in the garbage that i used to make the main frame of this Hawk was actually MDF board. I priced one at the local lumber yard and they cost around $20 bucks for a 1/4 inch 4x8 sheet.
The stuff works great really and it isn't that heavy.

So, how much then is a jig saw and a radial arm saw?

Great use of parts and turn around time. Looks great.

You can buy it at any local lumber yard or Home Depot or Lowes. It is MDF plywood. You can read up on it at Wikipedia.org.

It would be better just to get a Hand Jig Saw. You can pick one up at Walmart for like $20 - $30. The Arm saw would be way to much for the project.

That is a very, very good idea. I already started looking for some used ones. You can pick them up for anywhere from $75 - $150 new and used.
I think I have a better idea! A $4000 Laser Cutter! I wish I had one in my garage...I would be a scratchbuilt making fool. You could make anything.

Sorry... I just realized you had a link to the scroll saw image you posted. It does look good... I wonder if it would cut 1/4 inch MDF board easily enough?
