Meltavets in chimeras aren't going to get close enough to my land raiders if I can help it.

They are not too hard to pop or immobilize and once the squad of vets disembark they die quickly to heavy bolter/storm bolter fire.

I'm much more concerned with IG long range fire. Vanquishers scare the heck out of me, as do termicide or anything that can deep strike with meltas.

All very true. Now I personally don't see many, if any, Vanquishers in 1500 point lists...

Termicide could be nasty...

There is a lot of IG talk on here...I often play against BA, SW, Lots of Marines, Daemons, Orks, Eldar...heck...I get a dang good variety of players...so...I am trying not to focus on protecting against IG either.
