Take an Allied Inquisitor Lord and then take up to 3 daemon host as one allied elite choice.

Quite true. I'm just not terribly up for mixing the two armies. I'm not even sure why that is to be honest.

Versteckt in den Schatten deines Geistes.

I abstain from voting because there's no 'Both' option. I play an Inquisitorial army that often combines the two, yet uses no GK's or SoBs.

Melissia wrote:Yes. C:WH is basically Codex: Sisters of Battle, oh, and there's some crappy Inquisition units in here, too.

To you maybe.

As I play an Inquisitorial army that neither involves Grey Knights or Sisters, your repetitive insistence that Sisters be separate is really beginning to grate.

You do realise that nothing in the current Witch Hunter Codex stops you from playing a pure Sisters army, and that you can play Sisters to your hearts content without ever having to field a Death Cult Assassin or Inquisitor Lord or even a single Storm Trooper. So why does it matter if the Inquisition is part of the Codex? It doesn't actually affect you in any way, as none of the Inquisitorial units are mandatory and you can bring 100% Sisters armies in every game you play?

AND people hate when there are units they will NEVER use taking up paper space in their Dex.

that is time the author, in their opinion of course, should have dedicated to the units they like.

Yes there are units in other codex's that don't get used, but they are still part of the same army. Inquisitors and ISTs are a totally different army then Grey Knights and Sisters. mixing is a recipe for mediocrity on the table top.

Besides, the fact most people don't mix ISTs in woth their GKs or sisters suggests that it wouldn't be a huge deal if they were seperated.

although it seems that those who play ISTs and inquisitors don't want the Dex split, but those who play pure GKs or sisters do.

Interesting, there must be some psychological reason for that.

could it be that if they are seperated

A) GKs and Sisters will get loads of new units to compensate for the low numbers of existing units.

B) Inquisitorial players actually like to field GKs and Sisters with their force occasionally, BUT don't want to have to buy 2 Codex's to do so.

This argument is why I've always supported a Codex: Inquisition which is the repository for all Allies rules, and all Inquisition units. ISTs as Stormtroopers Plus (ISTs are the top one percent of Stormtroopers, they should be better than normal Stormies), Assassins, Inquisitors, Skitanii units, Inquisitorial retinues as their own individual units (IE, units of servitors as a heavy support choice, for example), daemonhosts, Xeno mercenaries, psykers, etc, for all your radical and puritan needs.

With your fandex or the actual Witchhunters list?

I'm not surprised at all if it's the fandex. That's as well-thought out and "balanced" as the Pan Fo(may they be reviled in time!).

With C:WH; I don't use my fandex, as was specifically stated in the preamble of the codex thread, if you had actually read the codex you're whining about (you probably didn't). In my experience (facing them, and watching other people face them, as well as reading batreps) the Daemonhhunters codex is weaker than every codex in 40k save for Necrons. Grey Knights, especially suffer from outdated rules and being vastly overpriced with far too few options.

Also, if you want to comment about my fandex, you can do it in its thread, and be constructive instead of trolling with an unspecific "this sucks", thanks.

Oh no, I'm writing up a big thing to post in your thread. Don't worry

However, don't be surprised when people criticize your creation when you've somehow got Battle Sisters somehow being the exact same Ballistic Skill as Astartes who've lived for hundreds of years and trained over that length of time...

Check your Codex WH, Codex Chapter Approved and Codex Sisters of Battle 2nd Ed. They've always been BS4 basic.

Disagree. ISTs are the cheapest Melta Delivery in the game 70pts for 5 models, 2 melta.

Inquisitors in WH and DH are the best way to get a Psy Hood in any list.

Only way to get an Assassin.

Just because they aren't sisters, doesn't mean they suck. Sisters got more units in C: WH than they had in 2nd ed and they got a whole new army in the same book.

Not like does not equal suck. It equals not like.
