I'd like a slightly less chaotic vehicle damage chart. Something along the lines of

Glance = 1d6
Pen = 2d6
AP1 = +1d6
Open Topped = +1d6
Extra Armor = -1 on Damage Chart

1-3: Shaken
4-5: Stunned
6-9: Critical Damage*
10-11: Wrecked
12+: Explodes

This is just off the top of my head, and I haven't done any math on it. It's just an illustration of the basic idea, use more dice to get a more predictable damage result based on hit type.

I would not be satisfied with an advancement of the timeline unless they woke up the Emperor, made all the loyalist chapter masters into the new primarchs and they set off on a second grand crusade. The super-Orks and super-Nids emerge from Kryptmann's gambit, the flow of chaos nasties out of the now defunct Cadian gate becomes a flood and the Necrons decide to stop fooling around and make with the uber-evil. And they made the game 15MM, D10 and went back to having one big book for core rules, one big book of fluff and one big book of army lists. That would be awesome. Of course, since they advanced the timeline they would have to rename it. And no, Warhammer 41,000 would just not do.

1. A non-fail turn sequence

2. One rulebook, one fluffbook, lots of codicies containing only army lists/rules.

3. All codicies to be released within a year of new ruleset release

4. 2D6 system

5. Less focus on poster boy marines

6. Squats/Demuirg, with assault cannons as standard issue weaponry.

Dump marines. Or at least significantly change them.

On reflection, I suppose this idea betrays my favoritism towards low model count armies. I suppose 2D6 for each attack, especially with massed low str attacks, would be kind of ungainly and time consuming if you couldn't somehow keep each pair of dice separated. Still, maybe it's just the cheep bastard side of me, but I like the idea of general universal dice that, worst case scenario, you could in all likelihood pick up from the local convenience mart down the road. GW already heavily leans towards trying to sell way too much specialty crap.

Hey, there ya go... I'd also change GW buisness plan, sure its a bit out of the scope of relaunching 40k but I'm doing it anyways and frell the lot of you!

GW should carry commercial grade Kneadatite instead of branded green stuff for the prices you can get it online
GW should carry styrene in store, if they had it there I'd be way more likely to build stuff in store and they could probably nickle and dime me 1 sheet/rod at a time without me even noticing it
GW should carry 2 lines of paint, one dirt cheap (learn your painting skills ) and one better than average line (quality paint jobs).
Bring back the bits service! With the plastic injection molding machines their using now I find it difficult to believe that they couldn't cost effectively run a separate line of Bits dedicated molds. I can understand dropping the metal bits service if their intent is to phase out metal in favor of plastic, but the modeling aspect of this hobby makes armies unique, and unique armies are fun!
If they were to bring back Bits, they need a less intimidating catalog. How about if GW's website listed the bits included in the boxed sets and the list hyper linked to the bits themselves so you could order some shootie arms along with that box of plastic assault terminators?

Turn the game into a d12 system.

"But Vlad! Why not use a d10!"

It's simple. There's more variation as stats then go up to 12. Also you can easily transfer over armor and whatnot. So a Space Marine would have a 5+ save, and a Terminator would have a 3+ save. On a d12, these are statistically the same as on a d6. Again, it's just easier to transfer everything over.

Bring back a Move stat.

Bring back armor save modifiers (which would be significantly less effective if armor saves are on a d12!) and remove AP, as AP would actually be clunky under a d12.

Bring back to-hit modifiers. Sorry, cover saves suck ass.

A turn sequence that has one player move, then has another player move, then the first player shoots, then the second player shoots, then the first player assaults, then the second player assaults.

Sustained fire dice

U realize this chart would allow for 4d6? or a 24 to be rolled? not quite fair my friend, maybe leave ap1 and opentopped to a +1, not +1d6, or no ork vehicle would survive anything, ever, they hit a pothole and die.

Further more 2d6 per roll? Ever seen 30 boys, a warboss and a big mek charge the enemy? you are talking over 120 attacks here, all of which would have to be done on two 2d6 ata time, welcome to the 2 hour assault phase... no thanks, d10 or 12 would work tho

W/D/L/ A(a= Annihilated beyond doubt)

Orks =44/2/9/2 15k+ pts (assembled/broken)
Black Templar= 4/1/2/1 3k 2k pts (assembled)

It means that something open-topped penned by an AP1 weapon is almost certainly going to explode, yes. That's kind of the pointm to make things more predicable. You know that something open topped hit by AP1 is as good as a crater, while something that gets penned by a Lascannon is likely going to be immobilized or lose a weapon.

No. This is the vehicle damage chart. Meaning it only matters when you actually score a pen or glance, which would't be handled any differently than the current system. If you had just scored 120 pens/glances I wouldn't bother to even asking my you to roll damage, in any system.[
