Well, I'm not a WoW fan either, but my reasons for this aren't exactly that much related to game itself. Game wise it's fun and all.

But I can't overlook the rape of all the Lore built up in previous games etc. It just went, look, here are some of the most powerfull entities this story has ever known, capable of owning the entire world, now 40 nameless gimps can kill him.

And Shaman fething suck, they aren't shaman at all. When did shaman become chainmail wearing beatsticks instead of potion and staff wielding nutcases, I seem to have missed that part of the story.

Oh, and no playable troll witchdoctor = fail.

I agree on the witch doctor TBH. I mean whats more voodoo then that? Sure it isnt a perfect game, I dare you to find one, but there is alot of fun in this game. I just wish EVERYTHING was geared to end game. Its like your totally useless/ignored until you get up there.

I love warcraft 3!

Ive never played WoW past the 10 day free trial, which i thought was ok. Only thing that confused me to no end, was how on earth are undead sided with orcs, and trolls, and tauran? Didn't make much sense to me >.>

Not saying that i dont like it (i made an undead warrior) but it felt odd. Either way, i doubt i'd get the game, purely as stated earlier, the idea of mercing Wc3's biggest and baddest makes me feel sad inside, and slightly nerdy.

I mean, take the Lich King. In WC3, your with him from the beginning, you know? starting as a good guy, and slowly becoming evil. Then, your him as the bad guy, running around killing people an being very evil. Then in the expansion, your with him again, but he's portrayed as the innocent victim (albeit an evil innocent victim). He's the real force behind alot of WC3, and then, then, some group of 25 people (or 10, iv'e heard) saunter in, and kill him! ive seen the ending clip, and i would have shed a single tear, if i could :( I nurtured that man, from level 1, all the way to level 10, carefully choosing items when they dropped for maximum use, and now, now he's reduced to an end of level boss, who gets upsurped by some no name to looks like the avatar of khaine but without the pzazz.

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGEEE

Ok. Now thats over, i'd say that it was surprisingly fun 10 days, even if it did take one of those days installing the updates.

On the note of races being allied to each other, well...try not to think of the Undead as purely undead. The playable race is the Forsaken, the undead who split off from Arthas in the Undead campaign of WC3: Frozen Throne. Since the Alliance races are mainly racist bastards, the Forsaken joined with the more tolerable Horde.

I'm resubbing with my brother, and a few of my friends w/ the Recruit-a-Friend thing, as my friend is playing his account.

I'm going to start playing my 80 hunter to get some of his gear up from Naxx and Malygos gear before Cataclysm, while I'll be leveling a new mage with the Recruit-a-Friend XP.

TBH, I love the Goblin Racials, but I think Worgen getting a racial 6 second sprint is pretty IMBA.

Anyways, we'll be transferring to Ysondre (PVP) which is a new server.

Joinin Wow a few months ago was pretty weird for me, as it was different from some of the other MMOs i had played.

It is very enjoyable till lvl 60-80 i say or more 70-80 coz once you hit that level you end up doing the same instances over and over and over just for the xp and to break up questing. (guess you could say is the painting of WH/40K models to the gaming )

At 80 it gets worse, sure the raids look good and are challenging but once you get used to it they become easy and somewhat boring.

I presume thats why people make other characters to play, to give a bit more variety. Ill admit i love my Blood Elf Retributuin Paladin, but he does get boring so i play my hunter/mage for a nice change.

Cata im lookin forward to, not just because of the end game stuff but ill be taking a fresh character(Goblin Rogue) through the broken world of Azeroth to see how much it has changed.

Atm my WoW and 40K Tau army are on hold due to lack of cash, so until then im stuck with Modern Warfare 2(Till Xbox Gold runs out) and The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion on Xbox 360

I did my research (and chatted with a mate who does WoW) and from what i gathered, not only did ICC come out in sections, making it impossible to do all in one night, but with the best possible gear you could have got from toc ( apparently its a raid, i may have slightly switched off at this point) it would be impossible to actually kill some of the difficult bosses in ICC.

I do love to rain on peoples parades.

In other news, I got convinced by said friend and decided to buy a 2 month game time pass. So far, am unimpressed by the new fangled changes. Why are the elves on the side of the orcs? /confused

the blood elves are part of the horde due to the fact they helped eliminate an enemy to both the Orks and Forsaken (i think)

In the Frozen Throne, Kael'thas basically denounced the entire Alliance and left to the Outlands to join the Burning Legion. The current-day Blood Elves, who were no longer allies to the Alliance, joined up with the Horde/Forsaken to try and find him again.

As for Ahn'Qiraj, all I know is that it's basically a set of two raids from classic WoW dealing with the Silithids.

I just recently got back into WoW, somehow actually staying into it this time. About every other time, I'd play for a little bit, then just putter out, having noone to really do dungeons/PvP/etc. with. This time though, a friend managed to rope me back in and I've surprisingly been having a great time with it. Just waiting for Cata though, any time I have the choice to play a Goblin I'm all over that.

By the clack-smack cracking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes...

It was released in sections, we oneshot the first wing (first 4 bosses), the first time we set foot in there. When i said all bosses, i meant all available at the time.

And the best gear from TotGC was actually barely lower Ilvl then the stuff from ICC (non hardmode), so you could easily compete with the hardest bosses in the initial release of ICC.

So next time you do your research, make sure its right. Sorry to rain on your parade.

Well, you got me there shivanangel, your right, I haven't played the game to the degree where I can spot the subtle differences between equipment and stuff. I just assumed the several massive boosts of strength and armour and stuff meant it was better.I still don't get hit rating and armour penetration and many things about the game, so of course it makes very little sense to me.

You could have been a bit better at specifying what you meant though. I mean, from your comment, it sounded like someone trying to be an internet tough guy using the medium of an online game. If I am wrong, then I apologise.

And if no one does it any more, why is it still in the game?

Ahh thats a cool tip, Ill have to remember that.

Problem right now though, is my brother inlaw installed some thing that puts addons to the game, and wouldnt ya know it, my account got hacked......twice. I found out just this morning that I had a keylogger on my PC. So All that crap went bye bye, and Im the proud owner of 2 key logger programs lol (I wanted to be sure)

So my wife ordered an authenticator the first time so in a few days we will have that. I decided we shouldnt mess around with WoW just incase. Even though I used 2 keylogger programs, a malware and virus scanner I still want to be sure. Luckily they didnt take my gold OR gear both times ( I either suck that bad, or Im just lucky) Im getting sick of having my account in lockdown waiting to get ahold of someone to get everything strait. I wrote blizz and all that this morning, since I cant seem to get through for the life of me right now, but once I get my authenticator Im going full tilt to get everything back and running.

Im rocking though on the flip side. Im almost 50 (DAMN HACKERS!) so Im thinking I can cram to get the last 30 lvls.

Is it just me, or does anyone else think Blizz might be taking a little off the sides from the "gold farmers" and hackers and the like. It just seems to easy to hack peoples stuff. I mean now Im pretty much to scared to play without an authenticator. Sure its only $6 but times that by a few hundred thousands, and youll see what I mean. Sides sometimes Ill see the same farmers in main cities for DAYS before they disappear, yet my account gets shut down in like 5-10 minutes of that.

Anywho rant over

I'm pretty convinced the problem has become worse since the account info swiched to emails. Mainly as many of us have one main email and that became our WoW login.

It's not that hard to track down folks emails if you are trying to find new victims, especially if you are on say facebook and note you play WoW there as well.

I had my first attempted hack this year, but my authenticator stopped it dead. No keylogger on my system either which was bizarre.

One of the first things I did after that, was create a new mail address and made that my new WoW account email.

Since then I've had at least one WoW phising attempt daily on my old WoW email (which I still use as my main email) and my new one remains clean.

Blizzard doesnt make any money off the authenticators.

the 6 dollars is at cost with shipping.

So the tin foil hat argument that they let hackers get away with it to sell authenticators is false.
