I live in the magical land of Sulphur Springs. Its a fairly decent drive without traffic. Having 4 kids ages 5 years down to 5 months makes it hard for me to leave my wife by herself on a regular basis. Especially since I work 24 hour shifts. If this is something that several people would be interested in it would be great for me. Now I just need to decide on an army and start making purchases.

There are alot of great places to play in Dallas. What I find though is that most of the places are in the North, and West portions of the metroplex.

I would love to find a way to get something going in East Dallas/Mesquite/Forney. Its a long drive just for pick up games from Forney. The closest place I can find is really comic asylum in Garland, but thats really close to 190 and is damn near Richardson.

I have talked to many folks that drive all the way from Tyler and beyond just to play in these tournaments but I am sure you would all like something closer.

As Far as 40k in the Dallas Area heres what Ive found out by going to stores. If you know of any other places to play copy whats written below and add the day and place and info.

Tuesday-
Comic Asylum starting at 5pm, on Jupiter and Arapaho. Really nice store with alot of murchandise.

Wednesday-
Hobby Town Plano/on Park next to the Tollway. This Hobby Town has 5 nice tables and a good group. Show up at like 5 and get some games in.

Friday-
Area 51(Richardson), Great store with 6 Tables. Friendly staff and good group of people. Friday is always packed and the store is open till like 1Am, Great Place to Play on a Friday Night.

Comic Asylum.

Saturday-
Area 51.
Hobby Town Plano.
Games Workshop Frisco- Meh. It only has three tables, the store is small and theres no where to sit down. Its an all right place to play, but saturdays are packed so dont expect to get more than one game in. There are people here on saturdays.

Sunday-
Hobby Town Plano- Smaller day but normally a few people here.
Games Workshop Frisco - People here starting at noon.

I would love to find some games in the Rockwall area. I would guess that there have to be some 40K players in Rockwall. Plus, its a nice straight shot down I-30 for me and only about an hour from home.

Well, if Forney is not too far away, I am thinking of organizing some games in my big ass garage. maybe once a month. That way we can practice for the tournaments.

I live in North Fort Worth and would be willing to head to Arlington, Grapevine or even South Fort Worth. Dallas is just getting a bit far to head anywhere to play.

I too am a noob. Have collected Tau and IG for 5 years worth of painting and assembling but have yet to get a real game in, so it'd be a learning experience if anyone is interested.

Anyone in the SW Fort Worth/Aledo/Weatherford area play Fantasy?

I've just recently registered for the board and live out in East Texas. Due to school starting up again in January and commitments elsewhere other than that, I can make the trip up to the Metroplex once a month so says the wife. Look forward to playing with you all!

I play in Fort Worth and Arlington. I usually show up to the Lone Star Comics on Saturday in Arlington, TX. The Warhammer times are 2pm-7pm (people usually there at 3pm). Most of the players are Fantasy though. I haven't had any 40k matches show up but I am new to the shop.

I'm the same, I've only played a few games of 6th ed way back when. Live in Dallas. Would anyone want to get a Dallas fantasy group together? I haven't had the time to buy a new 40k army yet.

Me and 4 others play in another friends garage in Longview, Tx. If anyone for some god awful reason wants to come this direction then we'll be up for it.

Hey if you're in Frisco then you can go to the GW on preston near the Stonebriar mall which I'm sure you can find on google, or the best thing to do is just go to find a store at the GW website and enter your address for me it's only 5 minutes away.

For you Dallas guys, Shreveport LA is two hours away - The Dragon's Lair has monthly 40k tournaments, Magic tournaments, all that kind of stuff - its quite a good sized store.

Hey guys, hope im not too late to chime in...but i currently live in Greenville, TX (about 45 mins out of Dallas to the east and 20 mins from Rockwall to the east) and we have opened up a hobby/GW store here. We are selling all GW products at 10 percent off and are making weekly events and/or gamenights. We currently have about 8-10 players and are really wanting to increase that number drastically. We have plenty of room for multiple tables, and if we get enough people signed up we'll be moving to another BIGGER location. We used to go all the way to Texas Toy Soldier in Dallas but the drive is just not worth it, so we got our own with disscounts and game tables. Well I live in the benbrook area, I have heard that area 51 is a nice place...I might stop by one day. I used to play alot with some friends , But with school,work and families, Its hard to get a game going:(

Me and another friend play 40k and are looking for other players to game with. I'm in west Ft. Worth and he is in south. I'd say Grapevine is the farthest I'd be willing to travel. Used to play at the GW there back in the 4th ed days.
