Anyways in an attempt to get this train back on tracks:

There's a pretty good race going on between DAs, Imperial Fists and The Wolves for most favorite but there's really no Competition when it comes to least popular Legion:
Poor White Scars. Actually I think the White Scars would be one of the most popular Legions if there was something, anything about them written! C'mon Space Mongols: can't lose.
Unfortunately their niche has been taken by one company of Dark Angels (ravenwing). So any Codex would be pretty redundant.

Hey, Iron Hands are in the running! We can lose to them for shure! I know that if this poll was about a year ago, RG would be in the running, but FW has done wonderfull, wonderfull things for them, like say, actually having fluff other than the little blurb in the SM codex, the same blurb that has been rehashed repeatedly thoughout all the editions. I think that the White Scars list in C:SM is better than ravenwing and, in fact, I use the biker SM army for my own, just not as white scars.

What did Forge World do for Raven Guard? I know their fans of The Raptors. Red Scorpions seem to be their personal chapter though.

How anyone can not giggle abou the DAs "secret" that they are afraid to come out about is beyond me. Seriously, they are based on poem about homosexuality. At least the Emperor's Children are open about it!

I also think that the White scars are one of those vastly unapreciated chapters. They have alot of unique character and were doing the whole speed demon thing before the ravenwing. They got the whole mongul thing, stormseers, bikes/speed, peerless hunters, the list goes on. I put them up there in my top 5 favorite chapters easily.

I had no idea that there was a poem by a guy named Lionel Johnson called The Dark Angel! However that link doesn't say the poem is about homosexuality. It actually seems to mirror The Dark Angels story but instead of sending someone of to war to eliminate them Lion 'el Johnson kept them at home while he went off.

btw the EC aren't actually gay. They're 80s glam metal rockers. Those guys were quite hetero they just.....really, really wanted to look like women.....idunno...

Oh, and I agree with Canuck's EC statement, although I never thought about it, it makes SO much sence!

Although I have a soft spot for both the Dark Angels and Space Wolves, obviously not in the same battlefield.

My fave are the White Scars, I never got over that short story that was in White Dwarf an age ago. Going over the battle for Terra, when Jaghatai lead the lightning raid against the space port.

I've said it a few times in the past, as soon as I am brave enough to take on a fully white army painting wise, I'll be putting a White Scars army together.

It's true though. Imperial Fists are just yellow Ultramarines. At least the Ultramarines are stationed on the war torn eastern front. Imperial Fists are stationed on Terra. There's nothing to do on Terra!

Dig deeper and you will see that his stint into catholisizm caused him to resent himself and his homosexuality making him write the poem Dark Angel in referance to himself. But GW prolly took it the rought you thought.

And i agree about the EC. Cocaine 80's rocker feel is why I play them. Its just fluff wise the EC tack part in depravity that makes Homosexuality look christian. lol

I think that, in the end, they are loyal to Humanity, and have their own idea on how best to insure Humanity's ascendancy in the galaxy.

Of course, their goals may or may not always be in lock step with the Imperium!
