By the powers invested in me, by me, I SMITE THEE DARK!!!! I want some attention /attentionwhore.
( OOC: Quick recap, Anthra's lads have just killed to death some heretics and met with Kade-what he just posted takes place before the first contact at the end of my last post, if that makes sense)
IC: Kade stood up and let off a quick salute, which was returned by the squadee's. The one identified as "Carious" walked forward, chuckling. "Well", he said "at least you ain't a cultist, eh?", provoking sniggers from the squad. Kade was silent. Feeling the tension built up, Carious continued by asking "What's your name, trooper?"
"Kade", the veteran replied, "But you can call me-" he stopped, tilting his head thoughtfully to the side, though his helmet masked his expression. Finally, he continued "-Kade". The sergeant nodded, replying "Well then, Kade-welcome to the team". Noticing the blood staining his armour, he asked "Ran into some gribblies? Anything we should know about?", a concerned look on his face. Kade nodded. "A spawn ambushed my squad, but I don't think it got there on it's own. There are Word Bearers mulling around somewhere, and it's unlikely that they'll sit us down and hand out pamphlets whilst asking us politely whether we would consider joing another faith. The Tyranids and the Astartes are probably at burger king downtown, and the T'au will be somewhere doing something. Oh, and there's literally a hoard of cultists who want to play jump-rope with our entrails" he concluded.
"Right" said Carious, "this is not the kind of place we want to be hanging out then. Squad! Move out on the double. You too new kid" he finished motioning to Kade. He turned to go, but stopped for a moment and turned back to the veteran. "Oh, one more thing. This here is O'Malley, my second in command. He outranks you, understand". The man turned and nodded. Kade just looked back. "Yes, sir" he replied, a flicker of irritation crossing his tone for the breifest moment, before jogging to join up with the rest of his new squadmates.

The first bit was, the second bit was at everyone since I feared it might get a bit confusing that what Athra posted after me takes place before what I posted last.

Don't worry, I understand. I'm actually kinda glad I did get to write it, as I wanted to establish what enemies were where from the Guardsmen's POV anyway.

Name - Arkus Pallemon
Age - 117
speciality - Close assault.. with anything..
equipment - Chainsword, Power sword, Boltgun, Bolt pistol, Plasma pistol, Artificer armour.
height - 10 ft 7
Biography - Exiled from the Blood Angels chapter due to a single, cataclismic decision that ruined him. He was a good warrior, but on the doomed world of Erkus IV, he chose to detonate missile silos on the planets surface, destroying a large Ork force, including the Waaagh!'s Warboss. However, he also caused the death of 30 of his battle brothers, an unforgivable crime. After, he went where he wilt and did what he wilt, still fighting in the name of the Emperor whenever he could. Otherwise, he was guns for hire in the Imperium, working for whoever could get him wargear, information, transportation or whatever he requires. In 999.M41, he found himself on Naruke II, fighting with thousands of Imperial soldiers and a company of Red Scorpions, defending the planet against Nurgle Daemons and Chaos Astartes, a Tau colonist force and a tendril of Hive Fleet Leviathan. Naruke II was lost, thousands of Guardsmen died along with even more civilians, and the Red Scorpions battle company was heavily depleted, down to only a couple dozen men, with many of their vehicles destroyed. Arkus remained behind, parting with a then recently acquainted Nucian Commissar, Nikev. Arkus, and the Dreadnought Zindler, fought against thousands of Tyranids assaulting the final strongpoint that the rest of the Imperials had evacuated in the capital city. Zindler was eventually overcome by a raging Carnifex, his reactor-core going critical and taking many Tyranids with him. Arkus succombed to the Black Rage, but, like the Blood Angels' chief Librarian, Mephiston, managed to control it. When he was fighting who he believed to be Horus and his traitor marines, he was really tackling the Tyranid Hive Tyrant and all the beasts it commanded. He defeated all the Tyranids that stood in his path, until the Hive Tyrant was dead. Following his experiences defeating the Black Rage, in which he believed he had been approved of by the Emperor himself, he became a fearless warrior. After that, he fought for roughly fifteen years, fighting against the Tyranids, Tau and Traitor marines that remained on the planet. The planet was invaded many times, and amongst others, rampaging Ork warbands fought across the planet with rogue humans, Daemons, Kroot and all manner of other creatures. The planet became a gladitorial fighting ground where the strongest went to prove themselves in those cultures that value martial prowess strongly. Arkus defeated all who stood before him, slaying Kroot shapers, Ork Warboss's, Chaos champions and anything else that got in his way. At approximately 015.M42, an Imperial taskforce returned to Naruke II, including a Blood Angels battle company lead by the Blood Angels' chief Librarian, who had sensed Arkus' presence. In the next few months, Naruke II became a viscious warzone, with many more forces being drawn into the fold. In the aftermath, Arkus was redeemed from his exile, and granted Artificer armour to replace his broken and battered power armour, and a Power sword so that he could slay his foes with even more ease. Whilst he told his fellow Blood Angels that he accepted his return to his chapter, he informed them that he could not stay, and the Emperor yet had things for him to do for himself. With that, he left, continueing in his old way - travelling via whatever means he could. He now finds himself in the Salem system, with enemies of the Imperium attempting to do ill to those who he is sworn to protect.
appearence: Bald, big, muscly and yet somehow easy going.
NOW this character may seem seriously OTT, but this is not his first appearance. Check out WoA: #1 for his original appearance. WoA: #2, which I have begun, has not been completed yet (far from it!). His involvement in this RP takes place after everything that will take place in WoA: #2.
I can see a lot of you having problems with this character, but I've been developing him for quite awhile, and I would enjoy continueing his story. I hope everyone will be alright with that.

Umbriel was running down the corridor as fast as he could. "You Heretical traitor! I will kill you, you will see to it!"
Umbriel kept running. In one single instant, Umbriel heard a swish, and felt in insides go splatter all over the corridor. The man, more of a Goliath, picked up his axe.
"I told you, Umbriel. None can stay my wrath. This is Brother Felis. Titan Horus's Wrath has been neutralized "
"We hear you, Brother. We have new co-ordinates for you."
"Where?"
"Salem."

Alex was watching the strange guardsman from the ruins behind them, and overheard two names, Kade and O'mally. Alex heard a strange chanting noise and turned to his left to see five cultists performing a ritual of Khorne, Alex stormed over and 'persuaded' them to fight for him. Alex took off his Gauntlets, he wanted the pleasure of killing him with his bare hands.
An evil smile spread on Alex's face as he stormed towards the squad, he roared praise to Khorne then jumping tackled the first guardsmen he saw, Alex quickly got into full mount and proceeded to pound on the poor man's face until it was a bloody mess. He turned around to receive a swift jab off Kade, he rolled over and jumped to his feet, taunting Kade.
Behind Kade he could see a cultist cutting into another Guardsmen, Kade ran over and head-butted Alex before punching him in the stomach. Kade went to throw another Jab and Alex caught his fist and in one fluid movement swept his back leg and pushed him over. Alex Stepped over Kade and laughed as he raised his foot up...

Ludd, this would be time for a Player Event. It never works out if you let the players fight each other to the death.. or fight each other (in a proper fight, atleast) at all. You should halt the RP, IMO, and get all the involved players to PM you about what they want their characters to do (like I've done with you and others in different RPs). If you'd like any help with it, feel free to ask.

PLAYER EVENT! Now then, for those who don't know, if you're involved in the event, then PM me with what you plan to do... The event will not happen till all those involved have PM'd me... Those involved cannot RP till it's resolved but everyone else can, happy hunting! So that's Alex, Kade and 'Mal' PM ME!

Then, Ludd will write the event up as he see's fit. Ludd, you should write if there is a chance of Player Fatality in an event.

There was a bright light, and Arkus felt as if he were weightless. He knew where he was; the Warp. He knew what was happening. But he didn't know why. It was a similar sensation to one he'd experienced before; teleportation. It lasted but mere seconds, and when the light disappeared, he looked around, taking in his new surroundings. He was in what was, presumably, a space ship corridor. I wonder which one of the Dark Gods did this, the Changer of Ways, perhaps? he mused. He suddenly drew his Plasma pistol as he heard armoured footsteps coming from the turn ahead. Steam hissed out of vents, and Arkus could hear strange noises coming from all around him. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw a small rodent scurrying down a maintenance shaft. But he remained focused on the footsteps ahead, and seconds later, two power armour-clad men walked around the corner. Their armour was crimson red, with metalic trims. The first of the two was wielding a boltgun, and he barely had time to shout "loyalist!" before his left shoulder pauldron was ripped apart by a plasma bolt, sending the Word Bearer stumbling backwards. The second figure was brandishing a glowing sword, and an old-style bolt pistol. He ran towards Arkus, pistol raised and firing. Three shots impacted on the Blood Angels' chest plate, all recocheting harmlessly off, before the Chaos marine was upon him. Arkus towered above his foe by a good foot and a half, and as his opponant swung, he grabbed his sword arm, and lifted him off the ground, above his own head. The helmetless traitor just stared at him in surprise as Arkus proceeded to snap his other arm backwards, breaking bone and ceramite armour alike. The Word Bearer yelled out in pain, and vainly kicked out, his power armour boot just bouncing off his artificer armour as harmlessly as his bolt rounds had. Arkus then unsheathed his power sword, and with the strength of a hundred men, sent the blade straight through the traitors' chest. He then threw the Chaos marine against the wall to his left, and sprinting at the other Word Bearer before he'd taken five steps backwards and bowling him over. The traitor raised his boltgun, but Arkus swatted it away, and placed a leg on top of the Word Bearer's chest plate. "Where are we?" he demanded. "I'm not telling you anything, loyalist scum." "Wrong answer." Arkus beheaded his foe in one clean swing of his power sword. With that, he turned left, and continued down the corridor that the two Chaos marines he'd fought had come from. This, he thought, is going to be interesting - a grin crossing his face.

Ok. I totally didn't manage to sign up to a thread only to sod off for ages without posting. Im not like that.
Right here's my character. Again, im not being a lazy git and stealing from another thread.
Character name: Castella
Character age: 29
Character job: Sergeant of the local Arbites(or whatever substitutes for arbites on this world)
Character personality: Castella is a B*tch. She made her way to Sergeant through backstabbing, and cruelty. She is mean, and will do anything to get the job done. Anything.
Character appearance: Like picture, but with a shotgun instead of lasgun. She has tanned skin, and her eyes are grey. She has hair dyed bright red. She has lots of tattoos, like in picture
Character Background: Castella's mum and dad both served as Arbitrators in her home city. They worked hard, and tried to uphold the law justly. Castella however, was a bit of a pyromaniac in her youth, and enjoyed to set things alight, just to see them wilt and die. Her parents were initially concerned, but put it down to her just learning the ways of the world. When Castella made her choice, and said she wanted to join up, her parents were proud of her. However, she got turfed to another city, and without her parents guiding light, she quickly fell into dark ways, and became the twisted scourge of friends and foe alike she is today. She was accused of setting a suspect on fire in his own hab, but it was never proved. Because of this, she gained the name 'blazing B*tch' by her work colleagues.
Character Equipment: Shotgun, 12 shells (manstopper) Knife x2, stub pistol (prone to jam) ID, Dogtags (stolen from a PDF) a pack of matches, and a home made tear gas grenade.
Character height: 5'10

:O //GASP//
You stealing son of a mum, that's unbelievably lazy.
Either way, I don't really see how Castella will fit into this RP too well.. The blazin' b*tch with the 6+ save and shotgun versus hulking chaos space marines, unstoppable Daemons and with only Piggy available for use as a meatshield?
You've totally forgotten the #1 golden rule of warhams forty million = only superhuman super mega's survive. That and special guardsmen that are secretly under the protection of a 2+ invulnerable save from Tzeentch.
'sides, won't you get bored of using the same character in two different roleplays at the same time? (and you could've used that Daemon prince from the now dead Lords of Chaos. )
/end rant/
Anyway, I look forward to this RP.

Arkus continued his advance down the corridor. There was a staircase ahead that lead up to another platform - he headed up them. At the top, he found to his dismay that it was only another murky corridor of steaming vents and as he listened, he heard far away screams and the sounds of things that should not be. Picking a direction, he headed off.
~~~~~
Just over thirty minutes of walking later, Arkus found himself in a large room. The walls were lined with what looked like living tissue, and the floor was covered in a green liquid. Placing a hand on the hilt of his sword, prepared to draw it, he listened carefully. For a mere second, he heard a sound so quiet, that even a regular space marine would be likely to miss it. It was a hissing sound. Unsheathing his power sword once again, he swung the weapon in a wide arc to his left, and the crackling blade met with the exoskeleton of a shrieking creature that had leaped from a maintenance shaft above him. It shrieked and hissed as it was cut in half, and it fell to the floor - dead. Looking down upon the remains of his assailant, Arkus drew back his lips in a snarl without realizing it. "Genestealers."
As if that was the cue they were waiting for, multiple figures detached themselves from where they were lurking amongst the gloomy infrastructure of the vessel. From all angles they came - service ducts, maintenance shafts, floor panels, other corridors; dozens and dozens of them.
"Come for another go?"
Faster than the fastest Farseer, Arkus whipped his plasma pistol up and fired off a shot, reducing the head and shoulders of a charging Genestealer to slag. Almost simultaneously, he brought his sword up, deflecting a pair of slashing rending claws, and kicking the Tyranid in the chest and then decapitating it with a second swing from his sword. Spinning round, Arkus just had time to see a claw coming down..
Ahh, but Dark, im pretending i never joined your RP, on account of it going pearshaped for me. Plus, if GES can be a prizefighter, why the fek cant i be a local policeman? It just makes it all the more entertaining.
I assume theirs fights going on all over the planet?
IC: "Mag!" Castella bellowed over the roar of the firefight, and in response, an autogun clip sailed through the air, revolving lazily, as if it wasn't in any hurry to get to its destination.
The Precint had been under siege for about two hours now. Cultists had taken the buildings nearby, and were pounding the plascrete surface of the arbites bastion with small arms fire. Of the twenty men that had been manning the precint, 3 lay dead, and 2 were bleeding out in the courtyard outside the safety of the walls of their fortress.
Castella snatched the clip out of the ammo, and rammed it home into the chamber of her weapon. A quick glance at the stencilling on the side of the magazine told her all she needed to know.
"Crowd control?!" she screamed. "What the hell are rubber bullets going to do against them?!"
A large muscled man, whose nose was squashed out of shape turned and looked over to her.
"We're all out of live ammo. We ain't prepared for a full blown siege, blazin'." he snorted, before blindfiring a couple of shots out of the firing slit.
Castella shook her head. It was only a matter of time until the bastards outside caught on that they were firing blanks. They were in serious trouble.
"Alright. Piggy, how are the two outside?"
Piggy risked a furtive glance, before ducking back down quickly.
"Think one of 'ems dead now. the others crawling slowly towards the front gates."
Castella grinned to herself. fething brilliant.
"Listen up!" she yelled over the din of battle. A dozen heads turned in her direction.
"One of our guys is outside, bleeding. He's probably hoping if he gets to the gates, we'll drag him in. If we do that the cultists will get in. So what im really asking here, is does anyone have any real ammo left?"
A wiry man with a long nose, and slightly ratty features raised his hand.
"Good." Castella held out her hand expectantly.
The man sniffed his disapproval, but handed over a handful of autogun rounds.
Castella wasted no time loading them into the breach, before risking a look at their downed man's position. He was close enough, to save, Castella mused. They could probably open the doors, drag him inside, and close the gates behind them before the cultists crossed the distance. But she wasn't going to risk it. Castella aimed down her sights.
A single bullet whistled through the air, and punched straight through the helmet of the wounded man. He spasmed, and then lay still.
Castella ducked back into cover and tried to think of a logical escape route.
Francis was staring at the ceiling, when he heard the shot ring out "Killed another one of your colleagues Castella?" he shouted, "pretty soon your going to be the only one left." Francis smirked as an angry reply echoed down the hall. "You know you could let me out, I'm sure you could do with the help now that your another man down.
OOC- would post more but I've got house work to do  .
Yes, he is. Lets just say that he was at the fight where GES's character was and got put in there for his troubles for a night or two of fun with Castella *evil grin*.
PLAYER EVENT! sorry about the delay As Alex was about to smash down his heavily armoured foot into Kade’s unprotected face, Kade whipped up his laspistol with a tidy precise movement. He let off a double-shot into Alex’s bulky chest, the kinetic force sending Alex reeling. Kade jumped up and turned to face the snarling Chaos Marine. Meanwhile, on the other side of the ruined building Corporal O’malley was ducked down in cover exchanging shots with the oncoming cultists. The vast majority of his squad lay dead or critically injured on the floor whilst those still standing had their own problems to deal with. O’malley glanced at the glowing ammo runes on his lasgun, “Sacred throne.” He muttered under his breath, he only had five shots remaining on his clip. He flicked the setting on the weapon to low-power, full-auto shots. Then, he fitted a frag grenade into his underslung grenade launcher and let fly. Meanwhile, Kade had managed to escape Alex’s savage, clawing attacks, drawing back to a safe distance and bringing up his shotgun, the stock fitting comfortably under his shoulder. Alex, his helmet removed before the fight, squinted at the brave little soldier in front of him. He had his fun, daring him, teasing him... “You think you’re so big.” The words came out in a hiss. “What you don’t realise is the magnitude of your situ-“ His teasing fell silent as a huge bang filled the air, reverberating around the confined space. Kade swiftly reloaded his weapon with a deft movement of the wrist. Then he fired another round and another... Four shots later, there was a dry metal clack signifying the end of the barrage and the end of the shotgun’s clip. Slowly the smoke cleared, a dark figure looming just yards in front of Kade. “What the feth!?” Out of the smoke staggered the cultist, his unarmoured hands and face severely scarred and bloody . He scowled at the guardsmen before falling to the ground. The cultists, turned to Alex's cause ran towards him, laying down cross fire towards the IG. Kade reloaded his shotgun and fired on the heretics, covering O’malley as the injured from his squad were pulled out of harm’s way... Alex is severely wounded, his cultists looking after him. Kade and O'malley are safe, but low on ammo with the vast majority of their squad wounded or dead.
You didn't write whether the event was concluded or not.. and (like I have done before) made a little summary of any affects of the event - for instance, Alex would be severely wounded right now ( btw, I don't think he's a chaos marine nor does he have power armour.. I think..  ).. so I don't see how he would be likely to be able to fight for awhile.. a better event conclusion might have been "the guardsmen dragged their wounded off in a tactical withdrawl, taking potshots and laying down suppressive fire at the cultists.. Alex, presumed dead by Kade was left lying in the ground where he'd fallen, and some cultists dragged him off.."
Now obviously it'd have been longer, and better written than that summary I gave, but oh well.
Oh, I don't mean to criticize everything you write, Ludd, just giving my ideas to help the RP.
