Obliterators are good.......but they're also a bit vulnerable. you get them scattering and then it's bye bye oblits.

But I do like them

Heh, who said anything about deepstriking .
Oblits have been a great support just starting on the board since 3.5 Dex.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

lol Oblits are the simple answer! lol.

I would go double Vindi and single auto/las Pred for long range anti tank. My point about the Pred is it doesn't kill Marines in numbers.

Oblits are great but unfortunely they're too venerable to AP1 or 2 weapons (mainly lascannons and plasma cannons). If you know how to protect them they are the best HS in all wh40k.
About the Lash : IT IS GREAT! You can pull oponents team to you and charge it, put it in 1 small group under blast (Vindicator's, Defiler's or Oblits' ).
IMHO Plasma gun aren't good. It is strongly defencive weapon. You cannot charge after it wchich in many cases in CSM army you did sth wrong or somehow enemy comes to you a bit to close. Insteaded of Plasma guns I prefer Meltaguns wchich is assoult weapon and it is great per tank and heavy inflantry (SM, Terminators, Monstrual Creatures).
Dont use Havoc Louncher. It is too expensive. take Extra armor instended.
Chosen are very good (and nice accourding to the backgroud;D )
And Give your DP mark... it is usefull...

P.S.
Sorry for my english I study it for 3 years only.

I just went away guys so thank you for all your comments while I was away. I think 2 vindies and 1 predator would be good for a mix of anti transport and anti infantry.

Yes I'm kinda confused now aswell but IMO this is my new list

HQ 2 Daemon princes wings and doombolt 280

Troops 10 Bezerkers rhino extra armour 260

10 CSM 2 meltas rhino 205

10 csm 2 meltas rhino 205

Heavy 2 vindi possession 290

1 predator armour side lascannons havoc launcher 160

that makes 100 points spare any ideas???

Cannock

You don't need havoc launcher on the Pred as it's anti tank and havioc is anti troop.

Get some IOCG on the troops for morale tests and switch doombolt for warptime.

cheers mercer! there isn't A LOT OF TANKS AT MY AREA AND THE predator will just sit at my deployment area and blast away, so yes you are right. So if I take off the launcher i'll uses the extra points to give the rhino's armour and add some icons in there!

Just lock it down and focus bro, what exactly are you trying to accomplish? You had a good thing going with the 3x Vindi, 2x Lash thing, and the PM melta squads: you had synergy.

IMO you're better off with Lash Princes. With the spare points you can slap a Power Fist on a Berzerker Champion.

Tier 1 is the new Tactical.

I'm trying to achieve a mass anti infantry army with some units taking down thier transports so they aren't flexible and fast

in that case you need lots and lots and lots of troops.
Use Chosen 5 man squad with meltas for your tank hunting unit,

Why possessed btw?

As opposed to chosen or terminators. they're highly mobile, close combat devils with a cool rule (Daemonkin) and loads of attacks.

Because.
Winning with possessed is like throwing poo in the opponent's face.
Losing with possessed...well, you can just blame them and it won't count as a loss.

Well.......I wouldn't be so bold as to joke about Possessed doing amazing.
I think calling them functional gets enough Naysayers out of their caves.

Only other option is save yourself some points and get lots of Khorne Bezerkers. Enemy infantry won't like those.

And Defilers.

Why are possessed highly mobile???

They're fearless to start with, so no morale tests pinning them down.

If you roll right at start of game to choose your daemonkin ability you can get Furious Charge (roll of 2) or Fleet (roll of 3) or Scouts (roll of 1)

Plus they have a 5+ inv save which means you can afford to chuck them about more than terminators.

Give them a rhino and you can technically do an 18" charge.
Move 12" in rhino. deploy 2" from rhino. Charge 6" into combat. Move D6 to consolidate or Sweeping Advance.

No Corennus.
What is this 3rd Edition?

You can't charge out of a MOVING rhino.

Possessed are 'fast' due to fleet in a counter attacking role.
Deployment out of an unmoved rhino is 3", then 6" move, D6" fleet, then charge.

Else, the other way Possessed are fast is rolling Scouts in a non-dawn of war game. Then they power down the field 12" in their rhino. Note, if you get first turn, then that's essentially moving 24" on turn 1, you are at the door step of the opponent's deployment zone.

In addition, there is a vibe of..... 'jokery' around possessed, so as serious as I can be about them, few do take them seriously and are most likely joking about suggesting them.

Possessed are not cost effective for what you get and are of limited use in the chaos space marine army. It doesn't deter me from using them and making the most of them, but they dont' get very warm welcomes in general from the more cutthroat competitive crowd.
