well theres no reason to run 5 man tacs in razorbacks out of the blood angels codex...

for the smurf book.... idk definitely combat squadding them with the heavy and special inside of the razorback is a mistake. It just seems wrong to me to pay so many points for these guys and then they basically nothing but claim objectives..... I would look at that unit and ask "can't we improve them somehow?" But in fairness I don't play razor spam so I don't have 1st hand experience.

you never leave the squad in the razorback.

what you do:
Leave him there, with a lascannon in hand, and let him pick off tanks, while the squad uses it's plasmacannon and plasma rifle there to provide anti-infantry support for combatting infantry

When it gets too hot for your some- 105 point squad, you relocate. if you loose the 75 point razorback, it's better then loosing a 105 point tac squad and a 75 point razorback.

If you take a 5 man (vanilla) squad you cant buy a special weapon nor a heavy weapon. I think I 5 man squad with a RB can work well. Possibly give the sarge a combi weapon but absolulty no PF

This is why chaos needs razorbacks! I'll take anything except stupid rhinos!

If you run out of the BA codex, you can take a special weapon. But BA tacs cost more don't they?

I think they cost the same.... assault squads cost more but they get a discout on their ride I think a 5 man squad can take a special and ends up costing less than tacs with their discount...

On a semi-related note.. Chimeras for a WH/ DH army is the most amazing thing ever. I never would have taken them if I hadn't known they had 5 fire points! I can throw a sisters unit in it with heavy flamers and multi-meltas, or just regular bolter shots. The front armor is better too :3

I like Razorbacks but Chaos dont get em so that leaves me with Landraider or Rhino. Rhino's at 35 pts each is worth it, but I still have 2 Razorbacks (1/35th scale Bradleys) I gotta use as Predators for now, but I still love em. Rhino's are worth the points to get troops to your objective fast.

Yeah, but then you've got a shield with a twin linked bolter, which is useless. :3

Chaos has the resources to make something like a razorback. Just put a reaper autocannon or a lascannon on a rhino, derp.
