The contrast is fantastic. The red has got a real depth that a lot of red marines lack instead ending up looking slightly orange. No such problems here. The green on the PC blends beautifully too. A great job all round.

As for the base is it a custom build or did you purchase it? It looks awesome.

I made the base, some plasticard for the tiling, cork for the raised portion, then tubes and green stuff for the pipes and goo.

He is properly AWESOME!!!

Your red's definitely really the best around...

I like his green Lightning Claw, am I correct when I identify a CSM Terminator Lord Claw? The green makes a really nice contrast with both the red AND the black, so that's a pure win for me... Especially if you pull out an OSL as nice as you're used to!!

Congratulations!

Looks great, although I think the head could use a bit of work. It may be the lighting, but the features look kind of flat, especially the hair.

I'm liking the green lightning claw more than I thought I would, and the base is amazing.

@Yggdrasil Thanks man, ya its a CSM lord claw, figured I'd add a bit more flavor to my sergeants with a couple.

@Fafnir The lighting in the pictures I've been taking has been absolute gak, I need to set something up so I can take decent pictures, instead of just taking them on a table in front of where I airbrush.

The hair and face dont share the same success that your armor has.
Possibly a light drybrush or two of some lighter shades to try to give the hair some non barbie doll apperence.

Really Im just nitpicking but whats the point of posting if you cant get nitpicked, looks good man.
Dynamic, action base with the spilled cup, really nice touch.

I have to agree with 1-i. While it could be the flash, the hair doesn't seem to have much detail in it. I also think the face would be a bit better if the eyes weren't just lines. I'm really liking the base and claw colour though. As for taking better pics, putting them behind a slanted piece of white paper might make them turn out better. That way the camera doesn't have anything to focus on other than the model.

Ya I'l have to try to get a better picture, I'm not very good at painting eyes tbh so i do what I can... Although the face does have several layers... only 3 for the hair, they might be a little too subtle tho so with the light shining on them you can't really see them.

Freaking fantastic! By far the best Flesh Tearers I've ever seen.

One critique though, I think the OSL on the eyes of that one marine is a bit too...stark? I don't know how to describe it, but it just doesn't look right to me. The Lightning Claw guy looks fantastic, though.

Alright, I'll have to make another attempt on the eyes. Seeing as it was my first attempt I'm ok with how it came out although I do agree it may be too bright on the edges and should have used more of a glaze for the brightest point.

they look pretty good so far, and I like the weathering that you've done on the test marines keep it up ^_^

Just a note about eyes. The sclera of the human eye is not perfectly white. I would recommend dulling your white a bit more to make it contrast a little less. Of course, it should still look white, but not painted white.

Ya I know, just ended up getting lazy and impatient :S I've been trying to avoid faces in this army for various reasons actually.
1) I think it's silly for the marines to run into combat without a helmet on
2)It adds a lot of work, eyes, face all that jazz
3) Some of the faces look really silly imo
But I felt I had to toss a couple in... cause thats just what marines do.. no helmets angry and screaming.

When the ammo runs out and the blades get dull the only reasonable thing left for a marine to do is beat them to death with a helmet.
