There are little touches that make it terrifying: the way the car's eyes widen in shock, seeing cars trying to steer themselves off the conveyor belt, and ironically the fairly up tempo nature of the song.

battle Brother Lucifer wrote:^ Who is Ray?
He's referring to the Princess and the Frog, the most recent Disney animated movie. Ray was a Cajun firefly (played magnificently by Jim Cummings) who helped out Tiana and Naveen, the main characters of the movie. Near the finale of the movie, however, the villain crushes him and he winds up dying.
And if we're opening the topic up a bit, I'd first like to throw out another shout out to Grave of the Fireflies. It almost seems like the kids might make it, but then it starts getting worse and worse for them, until that horribly sad ending.
I know it's not a movie, but there are quite a few tearjerker moments in Doctor Who. My all-time greatest tearjerker moment is a two-way tie between the end of Series 4 (when Donna finds out she can never be with the Doctor again or she'll burn up) and the finale of Series 2, when Rose and the Doctor share one last moment before being separated for good.

But then the Shadow Man gets eaten by Tzeench, so it's all good.

Saddest ever: In season 3 (Martin the Warrior) of the Redwall TV series when Rose dies (although it's sadder in the book). That was the closest I have come to crying during any movie/tv show. (seriously)

This movie sounds extremely depressing for a children's movie. I think i saw too when I was very young, but it's been awhile, I can't remember anything about it.
I was going to say Iron Giant and Lion King, but those were already taken.
n0t_u:I don't think that's really a kid's movie, but its a good one too.
By the way, have you guys every seen a movie called Fluke? It's pretty sad if i remember correctly.
