Thats painful, even on Dakka Dakka the Cowboys are a punchline! Oh well, at least I got some bikes and the first Rhino done. The top can be removed so the tank can be a Razorback. I think the Forgeworld door adds a lot to the model, should have used them before now. Anyway, I think all that white needs some red trim, but I havent decided how. I may wait until the turrets are finished. Rhino may look just fine as a Razorback. Anyway, here they are.

your continuing to make great progress on your White Scars. The paint job on the land speeder looked a little thick, but everything is coming along nicely. Love the Cowboys hate!

Alright, been a little busy but I finally managed to finish the second bike squad and Razorback turrets. That Forgeworld stuff is really cool. Anyway, I cant decide which unit to make next and I am rethinking the commander. Beast Warrior suggested more arcane armor, I may go with that.

I just wish FW did a TL assault Cannon Turret.

I'd buy a couple if they did, and they were a reasonable price.

Looking good mate. I really like the clean white.

If your still looking at adding some red to your rhino, check out how redscorps does his tanks here:

Different army but same concept of trying to add more colour to a tank. As seen here:

Another area where you could add color is hatches, and the exhaust pipe covers.

Thanks gents. Im still trying to decide if I want to mess with the red. I like the white, even though there is a whole lot of it. On another note, I was reading over the SM codex and saw the Razorback can be upgraded with a lascannon and twin linked plasma gun. I decided to try my hand at plasticard and threw on some bits. Anyway, here they are. Any opinions?

Alright, got the last 5 bikes and Rhino finished. All thats left is the riders and a Predator. Still need to do some detail work on the power weapons and finish the bolters for the second Tactical Squad. And, of course, bike bases.

Great looking bikes. I really like the turret as well. If you would like to break up the white upper armor of the tank, Maybe doing a triangle (diamond when the hatches are down) pattern either side of centerline? like

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\
\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/

and filling it in in red?

PS my sister was a nole, but I saw the light and am at UT. Hook em!

Nonsense. The Battle Company box is perfect for filling out your ranks of aspect warriors with a large contingent from the Screaming Baldies shrine.

Oh my God!! I cant get away from Longhorns, Aggies, and Red Raiders!! I guess thats what I get for moving to Texas. I think I will do those designs on the Rhinos. I thought I was close to being finished, but I am no where close. Anyway, Merry Christmas everyone.

I finally finished the last bike squad and Predator. The commander is average, Im not a big fan of decking out marines unless its a chapter specific trait. Black Templars for example. Anyway, Im all done with this army and thanks to everyone who dropped me a line or checked out the blog. My next project will be a Heresy Era Emperors Children army. Im thinking it will be after the Dropsite Massacre, enroute to attack Terra. The fluff doesnt really say how long it took for the traitors to make the trip, but I figure at least a year. Even marines need time to plan and rehearse. I wanted to do something beside a purple marine army. Thanks again and take care out there, its off to Ebay.

Those are impressive, very nicely done. Smooth and clean white, which I don't think I'll be able to do in a hundred years, and very nicely lined with the pen.

Of course, this blog will not be complete without some gloating. Im sure everyone shares my joy at FSU's stunning upset victory in the Chick fil a bowl against South Carolina. South Carolina being coached by the hated Steve Spurrier. HA! HAAAA!!! Good thing he wasnt wearing that stupid visor!!!

Very crisp lines on all of your models. I love the White Scars and I think this is a great portrayal of them. The painting gives them justice!

Well, off topic, congrats on your baby. I myself have a 6 month old son. Though I don't go to work between him, a bunch of animals, and household duties, I understand the 'not much time to paint' issue. You sir, however, seem to get a hell of a lot more done than I ever do.

On topic I'm really diggin' your army. As others have mentioned it's so neat and tidy and crisp. Makes me want to go paint something, or just look at more of your work. Don't worry, I won't suggest you drill the barrels 'cause that would make me a hipocrite. I own a drill, but none of my gun barrels are drilled. I'm just too lazy.

Keep it up. Look forward to seeing more.

Thanks, baby actually sleeps 12 hours a night so painting time comes up regularly. Dont think that will last though. I really considered drilling the barrels, but I guess I got lazy.

Really!? Congrats on that!

That laziness'll getcha. Sometimes you just gotta show it who's boss. Maybe sometime when you're bored and aren't in the mood to paint. (Does that ever actually happen?)

It was definitely a great year for florida teams! FSU, UF, USF, and UCF all won bowl games.
