I also saw that, but since it didn't come from my local redshirt I am very skeptical..

I know I am harsh on the GW rules and translation stuff, but I must admit, they really do keep their staff in the loop about upcoming stuff so they can guide their customers to the best tactics and most current boosters.

Besides, with the 8 sided dice that the SM use, they already have such an advantage when rolling saves, I don't see the need for better than a 2+ on the bog standard Marine..

2+2=5 for sufficiently large values of 2.

I almost wish GW would focus a bit more on the Marines, especially the Ultramarines, I mean....they're supposed to be these ultimate soldiers, and the Ultras are supposed to be the best of them all, but from the level of support they get you'd never guess it.

Your so right beefmedry, I don't know what we'd do without the greenshirts to keep us all in the loop and advise us on the best and most powerful builds. Some folks actually have the nerve to complain about price but I say it's all worth it because of the detail that goes into the prepainting plastic and the money you're giving the 3rd world countries who depend on GW sales, it's like you're getting great minis and you're contributing to developing countries all in one. In fact I wrote that to J Jervis Jameson in an email just the other day and he's going to look into getting a charities registration for GW as a developing world enabler. As to the old and discontinued ranges that Coot_Kansas mentioned in his original post, I'd point out that Buildplanet does make the L33tC0LL3c70r range of Genestealer Cults, yes they're a couple hundred times more expensive, but that's to separate the SERIOUS winner from the weekend warrior, those sets are the finest and include realistic 'punch action' elasticated waists and 'eagle eyes' movement head controls.

Frankly I hope they put the prices back up again for the basics ranges, keeps the part-timers out of the game and lets us hardcore roxxors only battle worthy opponents YEAH!!

Oh, btw n00bz, I'm running Space Pope/Enlightened Pyrovore (with repentance)/Sisters Repentia (extreme sculpt, you know what I'm saying guys...)

Eh... I kinda burned out on 40K a while back. I started playing Science: The Seperating, and I think it's a lot more tactical. Writing up card lists and paying points for each card means there's more strategy involved and you dont just get owned because some guy has a rarer and stronger miniature than yours. Plus you get to fill in your own artwork rather than having them pre-painted like 40K miniatures. It just adds more customisability and individuality to your deck. But just my &0.02.

As one of the few players fielding an optimised list I can honestly say i'm sick of GW and their transparent policy on effective tournament lists and upcoming releases. How am I supposed to compete with these fluff bunnies when they are practically spoon-fed winning lists on the site?

Son can you play me a memory? I'm not really sure how it goes...

Actually I've already written a 28 page FAQ on 'EPW', you can find it alongside all my other amazing FAQs. I've already discovered several highly interesting yet unlikely problems with it according to the wishlisting I've read on the internet and already come up with several highly interesting yet unlikely solutions to those problems with it according to the wishlisting on the internet, in an attempt to find some tenuous meaning and worth in my life, also, posting this adds to my post count, which adds to my perceived authority in the eyes of the extremely dim.

Shucks, when oh when will GW recognise my capacity for Cards As Written awesomeness and get me out of my festering trailer in Wales...

lolz

My local scene is so pwned.

I am now the proud owner of THREE Rogue Grot Inquisitors!

I actually pulled one in a booster myself (1 in every 1000 boosters? That is what I call rare!
I bought the other on ebay. Great deal. The guy had it listed as "Rouge Grit" Inquisitor. Only cost me $50 (opening bid!) and my cousin sent me all his minis because nobody plays locally there, and he had one still in the bag!!!

Now, I can pull off the special "Death Overwatch" ability and put my whold force on overwatch. Anyone moves in their eyesight and *BAM!* one S9 AP1 Master Crafted Large Blast that is -6 on the scatter... per unit.

I can't wait until the tourney this weekend. I'm gonna auto-win EVERYTHING!

I'm glad we finally did away with comp scores in the US (don't know WHY the Europeans are hanging onto them). Now, I can give my opponents the verbal beating they deserve for even standing up on the other side of the table against me.

I usually am, but thank you MundaneAmnesia!
Now i'm sorry to tell you that CardsAsWritten, you can't pull off 'Death Overwatch' with 3 Rouge Grit (SWIDT? teehee) Inquisitors, if you carefully study the description, under a full moon on a Summer Solstice, you'll see that the only way you can legally use that manoeuvre is to coat yourself in a thick layer of brandy butter and lower yourself into a tub of live marine iguanas... Of course you could still do it without, if you wanted to... cheat...

Also, please add me to your friends list... please... PLEASE NOTICE ME!

Ah.
I found a spot where KindRedPrancer is wrong!!!
Actually, you're right, but not about these.

CAW on the ones you're referring to does say that (actually, I think it just says Iguanas - doesn't specify MARINE... makes me question why you like marine Iguanas! ANYWAY....). I actually have the revised ones. Thus, the higher value. These are the ones that allow me to D-Ow without any special ceremony.

I´m fed up with this, I´m quitting GW and going to AT-34 where I have to paint my armies if I want to play, no more ppcrap for me.

Also I´m dropping my subscription to WD, since they started adding non-GW content the quality has gone down the drain, people play competitive armies in the battle reports and I even heard that the new guys in charge are going to add specialist games articles to boot, come on! GW is supposed to be a money making company not a place where the designers have fun!
