It is a pre-painted piece of plasticrap.
@Buzzsaw, I am sure you are right about new games being introduced by advocates, or influencers. My point was really that someone is playing Clix or the company wouldn't have been able to produce such a large number of them.
Personally, I would rather play a full on tabletop game than Clix, or if the terrain, figures and time weren't available, I would rather play a board game or card game. I see Clix as appealing more to boys who like to collect baseball cards and that sort of thing.

This thread is set in an alternate universe (we all have goatees, except me since I have one in the regular universe) so why is HBMC still hating on GW? Or is that part of his Dakka persona like a law of physics? I mean, gravity is still gravity in Bizarro World after all.
Also, I remember playing Dragon Dice. That was not an enjoyable game. TSR was a horrible company. How about in our alternate universe, GW also abandons its gaming products in favor of selling things like latch hook rug kits?

I agree with the goatees. However, I have to disagree on the point of GW's infallible business plan...
Im an alternate universe, Hell actually did freeze over; Jervis Johnson pulled his pencil head out of his own arse and produced some sculpts and rules worthy of our coin. In doing so, GW actually dominated the market by real business strategy, not lies and deception and IPR lawsuits. (Remember: GW did invent Orcs, etc... )

In the alternate universe we all complain about how underpowered the Realms of Chaos release was and how it lacked character and how ridiculously overpowered Angels of Death was and why should Mephiston have more wounds than the fracking Emperor!

40k should never have this happen. Unless its built from the ground up to be a CCG, then it dosent work.

The Axis and Allies CMG is not "VERY similar to FOW." They're set in the same time period and so have similar weapons, equipment, and vehicles, but I'd say the similarity ends there. The organization and actual gameplay are quite a bit different. That would be like saying Warmachine is VERY similar to Warhammer Fantasy Battles because they both have trolls and wizards.
Of course, in an alternate universe, all bets are off!
I quit playing Warhammer Fantasy Battles because all the players were hardcore WAAC powergamers who hated to have fun more than anything else. So I switched to playing Warmachine and since then my life has been much more pleasant due to all of our fluffy, story-based armies. We don't like the negative energy that competition brings to our lives, so recently we just ditched the official rules and started pushing our minis around on the table making "pew pew" and "lightning bolt!" noises. We don't force anyone to remove casualties at a specific time, so as to prevent unnecessary trauma. We all just do it when it "feels right."

Because some things are written into the fabric of the universe.

Kid Kyoto, I don't know if you're collecting orks but i just pulled a Snikrot, Commando Boss out of a booster. The figure is cool, but i started getting rid of all my orks since the 4th war for armageddon came out (if you ask me Yarrick, imperial commissar is way to OP, that's why i use two of him in my rosters anyway I haven't pulled a nork fig yet (not for lack of trying) i was wondering if you'd trade him for my snikrot, i know its not an even trade but i'd throw in some of the few remaing Ork stomboyz i have, most of their flight stands have broken off but you could tape or rubber cement them back on). anyway lemme know.
Also when you play imperial guard do you ever play a straight imperial roster so you get the "strength in numbers rule"? I've found that the rule isn't good enough to not take some genestealers or at least a couple of DE wytches alongside yarrick.
I use 2 units of wytches near either one of the two yarricks so he can use combat drugs and run the genestealers up the sides so they grapple.
The only problem i have is when i play my friends chaos sorcerer/ SM librarian combo, it almost doesn't matter what else he takes. that combo is rough.

Well, lemme tell ya. When they moved the GW Headquarters into China the RULES quality plummeted. Yeah, the plastics got cheaper and all, but I hate having to use the Engrish to English babelfish translator for all those PDFs.
However, I heard rumors of the new Vespid Snipers coming out.. Stealth, AND Jump Pack movement.. sounds like they will combo well with Commander Aun'va..

What happened! I tell you! I had the whole dang set for a month, fielded them in the "Rampage of Daisies" Worldwide Campaign, and THEN those gblighters decided to nerf "teams" of things.. Kill Teams, Crisis Teams, and all..
Now they just sit on the shelf looking sad.. I want to get rid of them, but .. maybe sometime in the near future GW will make them relevant..

you can keep dreaming, the rumors for the badab war expansion look insane, all they're doing is making it more complicated than it already is.
Here's a quote from jervis himself "I believe, most people, at heart take warhammer 40k to be a competitative game. its a cut throat system designed to give people with a tactical brain an advantage. People don't play this game for story or fluff. If they did there wouldn't be so many major tournaments. This isn't chess, its warhammer 40k"
geez with that attitude by the second series we're gonna have two cards per figure, and special rules printed on the base. I mean c'mon as it is right now i have a hard time keeping track of everything on one side of a card. When my orks have to roll more than two dice for their attacks i'm gonna quit.
Keep it simple GW!

Yeah but GW readily admitted that they made a mistake when they printed them as commons. It was ridiculous seeing every player walking around with one of the best pieces in the frakkin game. I say good for GW for manning up. I may go out and buy a couple of boosters to support them. Honestly I don't see why you guys are getting so uppity about Tau being good. It's pretty damned obvious that the Lord Commissar/Penal Legion spam does them in every time. Too bad that the IG mech armies don't do well against Tau, their vehicles are amazing. One of my favorite things about GW is that they make new vehicles for the IG for every release if the previous sculpts don't look that good.
