It would stand to reason that SM's would be created to have longevity as the process for creating them in the first place is rigorous and time consuming, you wouldn't want to have created an elite super soldier that would by the end of his surgeries and training then be too old to fight. That would be just plain silly. In Sons of Dorn it implies that a few decades have passed since the neophytes were recruited until they become scouts, which would place them around their 30's before they get to fight anything.

Commisars have live extending implants and drugs put into them. Thats why yarrick is still fighting.
How old is Yarrick really?. Does anyone have such information about him?. I would really like to know as he is the most awesome of all Commisars
Orks live until killed.
Yeah i doubt there will ever be an ork who dies of old age. But who is the oldest Ork there is so we atleast could get a idea how old they can be?. It's not that they live forever for Kaptin Badrukk is what i think is the oldest i know of and he looks rather old on the pictures and on the figures. So they do age!

As far as I know Ghazghkull Thraka is pretty old, at least by Ork standards.
He first invaded Armageddon in 941.M41, and he spent at least a decade before that preparing and a decade before THAT growing in power. Even earlier than that he was just a normal Boy, so my guess is he would have been born around 910.M41, which makes him around 90 years old.
I'm not great with lore however, so I might be wrong. But considering that Ghazghkull is still going strong (to say the least) plus the fact that Orks practically grow stronger their whole lives, my guess would be that they can live to be at least a few hundred years old, easy. The problem, as has been stated before, is that no Ork will ever live to that age

Space marine Cells dont degrade when replicating so they dont age.
There's also rejuvination therapy available for normal humans, at least before the Heresy.
It wasn't explained how it works but it's mentioned in First Heretic

We love what we love. Reason does not enter into it. In many ways, unwise love is the truest love. Anyone can love a thing because. That's as easy as putting a penny in your pocket. But to love something despite. To know the flaws and love them too. That is rare and pure and perfect.

You left out standard bike and Landspeeder training.
But, please explain what any of that has to do with this old thread. Emphasis on old.

Necromancy old, and I have to point out that that is the WORST progression ever. Ok fine, Scouts, then Land Speeder....but it would make so much more sense for it to be Tactical THEN have the option of specializing in either assault or ranged combat, which can then lead to either Sternguard or Vanguard status.

Threadnomancy is the correct term, for those who care.
Anyone gonna get a Threadnomancer card or what?

Test passed. The Threadnomancers' computer explodes, burning their face and hence scarring them for life. Grats.

w00t. IG Psyker pwnage!
But I was thinking the thread necromancer had to roll for his attempt to raise this thread from the dead? In which case he would have rolled . The power went off, and the thread was resurrected, but he was also consumed by a daemon of the Warp.

This is exactly as Horus Rising has it. It states marines are immortal and live to die in battle and then states the appearance of age still shows using examples like Iacton Qruze.
No wonder dante wears a mask. Imagine the wrinkles on his one thousand year old face.
