Well, this complaint has become hip ever since South Park had an episode making fun of Family Guy for this reason.

Personally I started seeing the change when I first bought a copy of Season 4 but yes, the "manatee ball" argument has become a popular one. Its not entirely unjustified though, the episode made some great points while still acknowledging that some people like that sort of humour, I completely agree, I have no problem with people enjoying a show, I just like to put out my opinion.

Oh, South Park definitely hit it spot on with their episode.

It just bugs me how Family Guy went from "cool show that proves people know better than TV execs" to "crappy show with dumb gags" basically overnight because South Park said so.

I don't disagree with the assessment, I just don't like all these damned bandwaggon hoppers!

If it makes you feel any better I thought family guy was shyte from the off.

Yeah, Hell's Kitchen is pretty crappy, because it's just more of the same old reality show drama crap. Ramsey is just playing a character, yelling at idiots.

Kitchen Nightmares is great though, because it isn't reality show contestants, it's people's businesses. And you don't just see Ramsey as the cursing, yelling loon, you actually see that it comes from him actually giving a gak about the food that goes out. Say what you like about his yelling and swearing, the guy can cook and does care about the food that gets served to customers.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Adam Smith, who must have been some kind of leftie or something.

I think possibly the most unjust thing Family Guy did was cause the cancellation of King of the Hill, they needed to make room for Family Guy so they replaced a genuinely funny show with an obnoxious half hour hit and miss fest.
Intitially the complaint didnt bother me as I had never seen king oif the Hill but after watching a couple of the DVD's its one of my favourite cartoons.

Also to the Gordon Ramsay fans, please dont derail the thread, please if anything begin your own thread.

I wanna go back to New Jersey

When Adult Swim loses its contract with it and all the other FOX shows it hosts, then I'll have less of a problem with it :I

King Of The Hill was pretty funny, probelm is that Brittany Murphy died (Luann). And Mike Judge was running low on ideas. They had a great run though.

King of the Hill ran for 13 seasons, I don't think that it died an early or unexpected death.

Amidst the mists and coldest frosts he thrusts his fists against the posts and still insists he sees the ghosts.

So true!

I can't watch it unless I'm off my tits, at which point it becomes hilarious.

I almost always agree with Albatross, I can't see why anyone wouldn't.

Okay, so the male version of "Cougar" is now officially "Albatross".
