I liked the stackability of the old black-top ones, but that was the only thing I liked about them. They dried out, they were difficult to get the last bit of paint out of, and I had more than one suddenly explode when I tried to flip them open.

By comparison, the new ones are a lot better. Not perfect, but I find them more efficient and easier to use. It would be nice if they stacked, but I'm happy that they don't let my paint dry and don't turn into paint grenades when they start to seal their own lids shut.

I have recently been diagnosed with swelling in the brain, so please excuse spelling mistakes and faulty sentences. I am losing my ability to type and talk effectively, but dammit, that is not going to stop me from trying.

Why I think they are horrible:
1. They are 4 times harder to open, and tend to lead to flying paint.
2. The caking problem.
3. You can not stack them very well.
4. They don't look nice.
5. You can barley/not use the lid as a paint tray.
6. I swear they are smaller (I.E. less paint)
7. They still cost $4 USD.

Even when they started replacing the washes and foundations with them, they were bad. Thos ones where easier to open, and at least had that little tab that held the cap open; however that is just my personal dislike of them.

As long as the paint inside still smells the same, I'll be fine with them. I'll be sad to not be able to stand my minis on top, though.

Side note: The should make their pots look like bullet shells/casings.

I still have a boat-load of the old hexagonal/white lid style bottles.....and they are all still good to use.

Every other container made since then sucks on different levels IMO.

I bought this and transferred all my paints using a syringe;

They are cheap and awesome. A few things needs to be mentioned about those bottles though.
They are not medical-grade and are obviously more flimsy than the original Vallejo bottles. Not so much that it is an issue, but it should be mentioned.

Other than that, they are cheap and works really well.

That old line of paint GW used to sell is still available. Coat d'Arms is the label.

I've got a box full of the old GW ones that haven't even been opened. I still use others semi-regularly.

I haven't tried the very latest pot yet, but I thought they were the same as the Foundation pot, only transparent. That's must not be the case from what I'm hearing. The Foundation pots seem to be messy, which is my biggest beef.
