Number 2 took all the things i didnt like about no 1 (racist/stupid robots, focus on the wrong characters, childish humour, cringe worthy transformer dialogue) and made that the core of the movie.

No, it was last year. I feel exactly the same way you do. Horrible.

Human centipede was good though. Yes gross, but some people like that in a horror.

All the way through Alice in Wonderland I was trying to remember why I liked Tim Burton.

Megamind was prob the movie I enjoyed the most. Inception was good but I had too high expectations going in. Leo didn't help.

Yes movies in 2010 I'd put Megamind as most enjoyable, followed by How to Train Your Dragon, and Scott Pilgrim.

The two movies that really caught my eye was "How to train your Dragon" and "A-Team".

"Dragon", aside from a wierd name, is a really good movie. My kids and I love watching it. Definitely a sleeper hit.

"A-Team" was everything I wanted it to be. It was the TV show done up on the big screen. The Actors portrayed their versions of the characters to their own styles, but with definite reference to the originals. It had action, a bit of camp, and that definite A-Team over the top. Its one of the few movies made from something I grew up watching that made me nostalgic for my youth and enjoy my adulthood at the same time.

But that's just me.

ChaosGalvatron wrote:I really disliked Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Boring, unappealing, crappy 3d (the end sequence had the only good 3d). Felt like a big waste of time to me.

Despicable Me was disappointing, i was hoping it would be better, it felt like there was a really good movie in there. Especially having seen megamind which was really good.

I avoided watching a lot of movies that i expected to be bad. Can i preemptively say Gullivers travels with jack black is going to suck?

And i cant even watch Avatar anymore.

The only bits i remember from that is Alice fought a dragon, won and then for some reason decided to sell opium to the Chinese.

Um yay?

Since it came out in cinemas here in Australia in 2010 ill add the Hurt Locker. Nothing special. Didnt find it suspenseful (didnt even care if the guy died or not). And it didnt have any big action set pieces to at least entertain me (the battle in the desert had me looking at my watch wondering when it would end).
I was surprised it won best picture, but then i had a look at other recipients of that award.

Was thinking about alice in wonderland, reckon a big reason it sucked was that she was so passive in the movie. Things happened because she was in wonderland.

It was an entirely okay movie. The hype about it was ridiculous, but most of that came down to a very skillful Oscars campaign (they managed to set it up early on as The Hurt Locker vs Avatar, and as small movie vs big, ex-wife vs ex-husband, and very cleverly managed to bypass the other nominated movies that were far more deserving than either of those two - particularly Wall E and Inglorious Basterds).

Worse than that, it wasn't witty or funny at all. Johnny Depp was doing some sort of odd-bod character that just didn't work, and none of the other characters besides the Cheshire Cat were at all entertaining.

“We may observe that the government in a civilized country is much more expensive than in a barbarous one; and when we say that one government is more expensive than another, it is the same as if we said that that one country is farther advanced in improvement than another. To say that the government is expensive and the people not oppressed is to say that the people are rich.”

Kick-Ass.

Seriously, such a lame movie.

Best part is when he gets stabbed and hit by the car.

Either that or Iron Man 2... *shudders*

Yeah it was mindless violence. Tried to be a "real" superhero movie but was anything but. Though it had the funniest getting hit by a car bit since that movie where Brad Pitt was death.

OMG Alice in wonderland has over a billion in box office http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_in_Wonderland_%282010_film%29#Box_office and is currently 6th highest grossing film and the chick in it was equal (with her costar johnny depp) second highest grossing star of the year http://www.news.com.au/entertainment/movies/mia-wasikowska-and-sam-worthington-make-list-of-highest-grossing-stars/story-e6frfmvr-1225975003429
Guess all those 3D tickets made a difference.

Oh and im sure sex and the city 2 was terrible, but managed to avoid it, same with whichever twilight movie came out this year.

Getting down to the nitty gritty;
Twilight/new moon > Alice in wonderland > Iron Man 1/2 > sex in the city 1/2/whatever

So wait Iron Man 1/2 is worse than Twilight

The Iron Man movies are no where near that bad

Having been forced to sit through Twilight with the Mrs. I can tell you that the movies aren't really all that bad. They're not good, the writing is horrible and the acting subpar but they're not in the running for worst movie of the year.

Alice in Wonderland sucked all the fun out of a classic story. Depp's Hatter wasn't so much Mad as just depressed and schizo. Sex in the City 2 was... indescribable. Thankfully I was able to bail half way through but... gak.
