Imperial Monkey - Regal blue / Chaos black - got it. Ta for the tip :-)

As for the straight line down the middle with cleanly separated blue and white, it's a case of marking it in as cleanly as you can at the very start as you basecoat with nice straight strokes of the brush (rather than trying to 'dot-it-in' in spots), nice dilute paint for a smooth line. Then you need to keep a little bit back away from the line as you carry on through the rest of the paint job to avoid splodging and breaking the line up. It makes the overall paint job per marine a bit lengthier but the effect is quite nice when they're all lined up together.

Tell me about it, I'm hoping for a mega force... What's next for Mrs Doggles to provide?

@Kitch - oooh, lots of stuff, there's a Razorback on there, and an assault squad, more terminators, another Dread... and lots of filthy greenskin xenos too...

@ Dakkagrot - no there isn't a white wing on the other side but that's a nice idea...

@Biohazard - thanks!

Never really cared much for Eagle Warriors... until I saw this painting log! These are awesome. Such a crisp paintjob. Hell, kudos to you for doing a half-half colour scheme for your marines, you dont see many of them around, that's for sure
Your freehand of the Chapter symbol on the Raider is also well done. Keep it up

Those are really beautiful... How come you switched from red to black bolters on the last squad? I normally don't like brightly coloured bolters, but I think it brought your models together nicely. Still looking good though, and it is starting to build up a rather impressive force

Ronin - thanks! Glad you like them - the chapter symbol on the Raider is a stencil / airbrush job - figured that would keep them nice an consistent for future vehicles. The Whirlwind has a freehand one on the other side but I might change this...

Lord J - for the black weaponry on the new squad - well I figured I didn't have a good way of identifying different squads from a distance for gaming purposes so this was a subtle attempt at differentiating them - I still haven't really decided if it works yet - the other option is adding something to the shoulders. The two tac squads that have red bolters already have different markings on the shoulders but I wasn't convinced that this was easy enough to pick out. I'm planning on expanding this army in future so any ideas from you guys with tackling this would be good...

Hey Lips - been away from the brushes for a while unfortunately, but hopefully I can get some new stuff done over Christmas... I keep popping over to have a look at your Ultras whenever I check in with Dakka - loving that kitbash with the powerfist mate :-)
