@Menelker
Done!

@thehod
Oakland is indeed the nearest, and we will shuttle people form the Bart station to the hotel. So if you fly in you will be good to go.

So is the hotel close enough to the fair grounds to walk, or...would people still need to rent a car to get back and forth? Confused?

Sorry, meant to say, "I'm confused."

Oh, and one other thing: Will Codex Witch Hunters be allowed? The Codex is still available from GW website (despite the Daemon Hunters impending release), which makes me think that it is still legal and all that good stuff.

You could walk although it is about 3/4 of a mile. A bit far with all your stuff.

I am sure with the amount of people staying there that we can organize car pools and get everyone to and from the hotel with no problems.

Witch Hunters will absolutely be allowed and encouraged! They are still brutally good when you make a good list with them.

Damon Hunters will also be allowed.

That is exactly what we wanted to create, a system where people could come and play the game they know and love and compete in areas they are strongest in. We are glad you like what you are seeing so far!

Big announcement!

The Bay Area Open will be featured in not one, but two podcasts!

http://www.theprimegeneration.com/

They will be talking about our Warmachine and Hordes event!

http://www.tangtwo.com/11thcompany/

The 11th Company interviewed me about our event as well as my notorious Footdar that the internet loves so much!

Keep your ears open for these great podcasts and more information about our event!

Wait, what?

You're going to allow both the Grey Knights codex AND the Daemonhunter codex at the same event? That could be really confusing.

Why have you decided to continue to allow Daemonhunters after their replacement codex has been released?

Hahaha, Yakface, you are too literal, but that is a good thing as I am sure if you were confused, then others were too. So it is good to clear it up.

Grey Knights will be allowed (I didn't know the codex had changed names).

No, I am glad we cleared it up then, that would have been unfortunate if someone would have brought an old codex army thinking they could use it.

Would'nt a mistake like that be cuaght well before the tourny when they submit their army list?

Depends. We haven't (or at least I haven't) seen the new GK codex. It might not be as good as the old Daemonhunters....who knows?

New doesn't equal better.

We just got the black box; it's pretty intense. Some numerical adjustments here and there, but otherwise everything is as it was in the leaked PDF. Lots of food for thought.

As far as I'm concerned, the Teleport Shunt move is going to shake things up a lot.

Back on topic, I've got myself and a couple interested in coming but we're still sorting out schedules and logistics...

Reece, if I pre-reg myself and them boys, how much time do I have to adjust/modify things before I have to go final?
