They're veritable death engines. It sorta fits... This is war, not Shakespeare. Especially with the Imperium(God knows how twisted they are.)

That makes it better. Of course something called "Xeno Crusher" will blow people up. But if it was named Preston...

I like that one. How about "Ork Torch"?

Leman Russes used by Arbites in Warriors of Ultramar (or was it Nightbringer? ) were called Divine Authority, Righteous Justice and the Sacred Law (translating the names from my Spanish-language copy, the originals might be a little different. )

That said, I usually name my tanks according to the roles they perform and I try to use Laitin (meaning Latin sounding English words) - like Prudentia, Pride of (insert homeworld name) Inflectum ( an artillery tank), Amicitia, Donum (for a gifted tank).

Hope it inspires you to something great.

take a look at latin names for ships etc, also you may draw inspiration from british tanks in the North African theatre during WWII, many were named and most were listed in orbats which i believe are available through your friendly google search.

"I'm with Stupid" and an arrow pointing forwards towards the opposition.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.
