I've gone through a similar thing with my vendettas, and now it is time to name my tanks (2 executioners, 2 hellhounds, and one LRBT or vanquisher, haven't decided/bought it). I would appreciate any suggestions you guys might have. Thanks in advance

If it's Cadian then you could draw from pretty much anything...
You could choose Shakespearean play titles...
Othello
The Merchant
MacBeth
You know... like that...

Hey, he's creating a tank regiment, not a theatre play!

I would use more grim dark names. Something with death, gunpowder and the smell of blood in it!

Like:

-Apocalypse Angel
-Orkbane

OR, you could go for funny names!

Like:
-Bullet Magnet
-Mini-Baneblade
-Overbudget
-Birth Control
-Pants Down

On topic I would go with Eldar Killer, Ork Killer, Daemon Killer, Necron Killer...

Or give them really fancy names like Terrence, Archibald, Preston, Eugene, Threepwood...

Thanks a lot Purple; Now I need to name my Vendetta/Valkyrie model "Sweeney Todd" and my Executioner "Repo". I will need to Find suitable names for the rest. maybe "Shock Treatment" for my Bassie.

Or I could name all my Armor after characters from Repo... Name my Armored sentinels "Luigi", and "The Pavi", My Bassie "Rotti", And the vendetta & Executioner "Grave Robber", and "Repo Man"

I'm going to name each of my tanks after a Mountain back on Terra.

Actually I think in 40k all the mountains save for the Himalayas are leveled.

You could name them after Knights of the Round Table! Lancelot, Gawain, Percival, Yvaine, Bors, Galahad, and dont forget Arthur!

Mine are all being named after old British poets.

My sentinels are being named after Tennyson's poems (I have 13 of them and they are called "Tennyson's Twelfth Reconnaissance", with the 13th being Tennyson).

The artillery pieces will be similarly named, although I have not decided who to name them after yet.

I have a brilliant idea! Name your two sentinels Luigi and Mario!

I think I'm gonna buy a pair of sentinels just to be able to do that.

My IG are the personal guard of my Inquisitor, so the names tend to be more high-falutin'.

My Executioner (with Plasma Sponsons) is the "Vision of Divine Fire", My Battle Tank is the "Emperor's Sanction", and my Manticore is the "Final Argument of Kings".

I think I'll name one of my hellhounds "Hell's Taxi" or something like that

Now that you mention they all are different. How did I miss that I guess I was so drawn to the "Metal Menagerie" since I like that play, that I didnt even see the rest.

I keep latin names for my SM vehicles. For an IG regiment consisting of ordinary men, I would use more "common" names. Latin is great for command tanks or rare vehicles, but I guess it does not really fit with the spirit of ordinary troopers.

For Normal Russes:

Pandemonium, The Big Guns, Grave Digger, Meatgrinder, Sight of No Return, Tide Turner, Emperor's Guard Dog, Back-Breaker

For Superheavies:
Bastion of Steel, The Last Argument of The Emperor, Firepower's Fortress, No-Man's Foe, The Big One

That does make sense, I guess I'll just reserve latin for my Vendettas, because they're not Guard, they are Navy

I have 2 Russes one named Hellfire the other is Brimstone and one earth shaker called Jericho.

Does "Need a Light?" sound good for my other hellhound?
