Who will win between the 2 Inquisitional forces?
Grey Knights have just too much firepower.
Draw.

For Blood Angels and Space Wolves, sure, but I'm hesitant to say the same for Grey Knights. Anyways, entertaining and informative battle reports, as always.

Sure, Grey Knights have it as well. Dreadnoughts are vehicles also and each unit is a threat. My competitive 2K list has 11 vehicles and goes something like this:

Crowe
3x Psyfleman vendreads
2x5 strike squads - 1x psycannon each in rhinos
3x5 purifiers - 2x psycannons + halberds each in rhinos
3x Psyfleman dreads

That's 24 TL S8 shots and 16-32 psycannon shots a turn. I've been testing out the vindicare and will probably replace one of my vendreads with him to help take out AV14. As it is right now, my 24 S8 shots don't stop shooting unless my walker is dead.

Haha, that's very similar to my 'endgame' competitive list, also a Purifier list with multiple Dreadnoughts. If you're interested in giving it a shot, here's what I planned to run:

Crowe

2x Ven Psyfleman Dreads

Vindicare

3x Purifiers with the following setup:
-8 models
-2 Psycannons
-2 Daemonhammers (neither on the KotF)
-4 Halberds
-Rhino

3x Psyfleman Dreads

Currently stands at 1900, leaving me tempted to give all three Purifier squads Psybolts, leaving enough for an Ordo Xeno Inquisitor with Rad Grenades, or to kit out the Inquisitor (power armor, Hammerhand, etc.) and pass on Psybolts considering the wealth of S8 shooting from the Dreads.

You're going to find that those large squads of purifiers will not be as efficient as, say 4 squads of 6 models or better yet, 5 squads of 5. Also, consider strike squads if only just for Warp Quake. A good GK all-comer's army, heck...any good army, needs deepstriking defense. The grey knights are very, very lucky that they are the only ones with it so far.

Maybe in terms of shooting, but if your report is anything to go by then your min-sized squads sorely missed the extra bodies and attacks when it came down to the nitty-gritty of combat.

I guess my problem with the MSU setup is that they're easily dismounted due to the relative fragility of their transports, and from there it's a trifle to either wipe them out or force morale checks. With Purifiers the latter isn't that big of a deal, but there's also the problem of Kill Points (and, depending on how local tournaments are run, Victory Points).

Finally, it's also just easier to hide three Rhinos than five or six or more.

But, hey, that's just my opinion.

SoB are good at any mission except kill points.

Aparently this thread's been necroed up, so I'll put in my 2 cents.

First off, Cleansing Flame can be used every assault. 2nd, psycannons > all other weapons in the list. My allcomers 2k list has 14 of them with 3 TL. They shoot down everything. psy-autocannons just arn't as good.

Yeah, that's the inherent weakness of all MSU-type armies. They're always high in KP's.

Yeah, in future games (after my ork battle), I did use CF every assault phase.

Whereas psycannons are great, their only limitation is their relatively short range. Psybolt autocannons are for when you feel the need to "reach out and touch someone".

Except their only Str 8 which makes them the same as ML, which doesn't do that well vs heavy armor.

But considering the majority of vehicles in the game nowadays are AV10-12 transports, S8 is more than enough to handle these vehicles. As for the heavy armor, well, that's what psycannons (and the vindicare) are for.

Some MSU armies such as Space Wolves can overcome their weakness by fielding a lot of range anti-mech. The only long range Sisters got is Exorcists, which fire random D6 shots.

Well, here's to hoping the new Battle Sisters dex have something to say about that.

A very nice report to read !
The sisters have overcome, to my great joy, it helps.
And finally the small errors on both side show that you are human

Sisters are still pretty good, though they do have a tougher time against shooty MSU armies. I never realized how good seraphims could be, and they kind of caught me off-guard.

Yeah, I do tend to make a number of errors when I play, though with experience and some patient, those errors will go down....hopefully.
