Right. Next up for tonight is one out of two drop sentinels.
As usual... night time photo. So it's not really good quality. Colors might differ abit.
Also the base is not done... and of course the model will look better with its base done, I hope.

Army painter green spray.
Then two Vallejo green colors, and one GW green color (can check names later on if you want).
GW colors othervice.

I always heard about army painter never tried it out combine that with a spray gun, would really come in handy.... thanks man i'll check it out

kinda off topic but has anybody noticed that the elysian las rifles look like a type 95 assault rifles

also off topics you can paint girls on the side of stuff very well

How many coats are you using for your white areas? (The wings and the text). It looks very crisp.

The spray cans are really good. Dries really fast too.

Well hehe... it's transfers. So no layers.
But I can make them really crisp manually. I would go with dheneb stone as a base, then 2-3 layers of white, thinned down to make the layers thin.

One day I'll try to redo them on the new paint scheme. But thats when I have time to spare

Decided to paint a unit of veterans for a change. Been doing "alot" of vehicles.
But now I think I'll alternate between them. So next up will be a vehicle of some sort.

Anyhow, the unit I painted is a Veteran unit (only troops I have...), with meltaguns, demolition charge and a sergeant with power fist.

For once when I can take a picture during daytime... it's raining.
So once again the light is really bad.

Well have been busy with other things. So painting has been slow.
This Valkyrie isn't 100% done. Glass needs to be painted, for one, and the light on the hulls left side.

Decided to go for different nose art on the various aircrafts in my Elysian army.
The Vulture gets the shark teeth, the Vendetta has the imperial eagle, and the Valkyries will have gigantic skulls.
Anyhow, here is one out of two Valkyries (in my current 1750 list).

You seem to have had better results with your aircraft transfers than me. Mine tend to split. Whats your secret?

Practice

Well I cut them out as instructed, and slide them off onto the model where they are suppose to be (or as close as possible).
I put water on the surface if I need to move the transfer around after.

Mentally planing to finish the rest of the army in one week now.
1 Valk, 1 Vendetta, 25 infantry models, 1 Venator and 1 Sentinel.

Those Elysians are really nice man, especially the vets & sentinel. Keep up the good work. I'm just getting started on a Harakoni Warhawks army myself, I think the concept of a drop-trooper IG army is just so boss.

Managed to take some pictures of my Veteran unit I painted yesterday.
I do have a Vendetta and Venator done too, but I haven't sprayed them with matt varnish yet. And the varnish might change the appearance abit.

Anyhow, for now the Veterans are the one to be displayed.
For some reason I must add, the visor highlights are not visible on the pictures. I chose to tone down the high light, and with that the models turned out better in real life, but not as good on picture. Again... might be because of the dreaded clouds blocking the sun!

Sergeant Gordon "Flash" Raine. The only named models in my army, much because of his feats during our friendly games. Under his belt he has several orks (nobs I think they were), Lysander and a normal space marine captain. He is much feared among my friends.
His theme song is of course... Flash by queen. Reason being... he is "the king of the impossible".


The demolition charge soldier, and the box caster of the unit.

So I managed to finish my company command squad.
Nothing fancy in it really, as they Elysians CCS can't have as many options as the normal IG.
So I settled with a naked CCS with only a Vox caster, for orders.

Now I can't decide who is going to be my main captain/general. The model with the "commissar" hat or the beret model.
If I follow WYSIWYG the model with the commissar hat will be the one in use of course.

The detailing on your models is incredible, if I were to pick a highlight the facial details & basing details really are boss.

Bases I really like to paint, as I think the lift the overall appearance of the model alot. So over the years I have learned how to make bases prey well with little effort.

The faces, I tried out a new technique. Using purple wash over tallarn flesh. Worked out pretty well to use purple wash.
