Just didn't want to waste the models I do have.
I am a casual gamer, so I don't really go for winning every single game. As long as both sides are having a good time I dont mind losing.
that said my lists, and usually my friends lists, are balanced.
Not spamming the same weapon over and over...

Never pulled of any of his feel no pain saves those times he gets shot. And for some reason he only scores one hit out of 3 when I shoot. I really think that gun is to big for him to handle hehe.

Almost done with some Storm troopers for my Elysians.
These are made from Elysian lascutter team models.

What I still need to do is squad markings, campaign badge, and of course the grass tufts.
Something that really is off in this picture is the rust... its not rust... its dirt and its not really visible on the model... don't understand why it's so exposed in the picture.



I have two of these units in my army. Their purpose is simple. Deep strike in close to a tank, and re-roll deep strike if not satisfied with result.

So I haven't painted my models for my Elysians army yet, but I have assembled them all (and more).
The army atm is based on an Imperial armour Elysian army list.

It includes:

Company command squad with a vox (can't have 4 x special weapons :( )

Storm troopers 5 men with 2 meltaguns

2 Sentinels with multi meltas

Veterans with x3 meltaguns, vox, demolitions, power fist, shotguns and Valkyrie transport

Veterans with x3 plasmaguns, vox, demolitions, and Valkyrie transport

Veterans with x3 meltaguns, vox, demolitions, power fist, shotguns

Veterans with x3 flamers, vox, demolitions, power weapon, shotguns

Venators x2 with lascannons, camom netting and homing beacon

Vendetta x2 (transports the last 2 veteran squads)

Vulture with punisher cannons


Anyhow the pictures of the army unpainted. A small summer project I hope.

Yes I am using lascutters as hot-shot lasguns. Not really using lascutters in my army anyway.

Awesome Elysians! They look quite striking with the super-contrast visors.

I wish I had the funds to get a whole platoon's worth of the FW models :(

Well they are painted in a different color scheme for the Elysian army I had before. The green Valkyrie isn't done. Needs the imperial eagle on the right wing too and weathering effects. Also the cockpit needs some more shades and highlights.

Well it's not that expensive really (mainly because the £ is not as strong as it was for some years ago).
A sentinel has the same cost, infantry are not double the price (for the basic infantry) as many think they are.

I would say, with good planing on what to buy, add 50% to the price for the army.
Also, the army didn't grow over night really. This has been one of my projects for 2 years.
But I did buy most of my current army the past 6 months.
This army posted here is around £585... hmm ended up pretty much anyway
Compared to my GK army that costed £260, no vehicles though.

Anyway, there you have a price tag on the army.

You make me want to start this Army.

I have all the Vendettas I just need to replace the DKOK models I use with Elysians

Looking good I especially like Harker and the use of Lascutters as Hellguns strikes me as an excellent piece of sophistry.

Lascutters are not really that widely used, so there won't be much fuss about WYSIWYG.

To bad that I bought way to many lascutter teams. My first plan was to field to full units of storm troopers. Now I have 12 lascutter models laying there and waiting for the day they will be used.

It's not that the models are super-expensive (though in large quantities they are) it's that I'm a poor university student and I can't afford much more than one model/troop unit every few months :(

On a related note however, would you be willing to part with a couple of those extra lascutter guys? Depending on pricing and shipping of course.

Still studying my self, working at the same time though (distance course). Married and have a small baby
Not much over for me either to be honest haha.

Anyhow, the extra lascutter I will use later on for my Apocalypse army though. Also, the shipping to US from Sweden isn't beneficial really, since I would like to have a tracking ID (that costs extra).

Anyhow I had to take a break from studies and decided to paint one Vendetta. Took around 2 hours to paint and another 1-2 hours for the dreaded transfers.





Not going to make my Vendettas, Valkyries and vultures more advanced than this. Don't have time to do fine details. But of course minor changes and improvements can be done if you have any suggestions.

Sargeant Harker is totaly badass! I like it alot

Damn! what a nice looking group of guys! Harker looks better I never like using that damn catachan when i use him in my army, plus im glad there are others out there doing some nice woodland camo on the Elysians. Oh and p.s. that green Valk is in the top 5 best painted/converted I've ever seen and trust me thats saying something! Plus you made a non see-through window work very well. Keep up the fantastic work man!

Those are forgeworld pieces, but the harker is the catachan head from the command kit

Lascutters are really expensive in pts. 1 attack strike last... So they are left at home.
Close combat is something many IG players fear. But not me. I have surprised my opponents in my last two games this week. Unloading my Veterans (before the transport has moved of course, and in some rounds later into the game) flaming them (or using meltaguns, depends on the unit), tossing in a demo charge, shooting with my boom sticks (shotguns), then charge in. Every single time I have taken out the enemy unit, thanks to the final attack with close combat. Of course I do have a power fist tossed in there.
People tell me that it's not worth getting power fists... I have used them in almost every game.
Anyhow lots of off topic.

No I am not magnetizing my Vendettas. If I need another weapon load, I'll buy a new one I love the Valks/Vendettas/Vultures. I will keep on adding more of them as time goes by.

Thanks mate! Seems like Harker is the flavor of the month in my army. The Vendetta I am pretty happy over. Didn't take to long and I kept it simple with the techniques.
The Vulture is made in a similar fashion. Though I was stressed out in the end with the windows. Going to redo them for my Vulture

Well it's not impossible. Just need to have patience. Takes longer to build a Forge world army indeed, unless you have more cash than the average joe and no expenses .

Storm troopers are not really converted Just plain Elysian lascutter models. Heads are from... well lascutters But can be bought separately too. Elysians with respirators.

Well then. All exams are done, and the project is alive.
First out is a Vulture. Though I will repaint the windows. Wanted to post the Vulture... so I stressed the windows abit.
Not going to do much of an improvement. Will be like the Vendetta... meaning thinner reflecting lines.
Also hoping the pictures will be better next time. Night time now and natural day light is hard to find.







Next up I think will be a Venator or two.
