i don't use a separate ad blocker and i used to have dakka on my "safe" list of websites that used low protection but that didn't help either.

I'm not an expert but the problem may be that you are using Microsoft software.

I agree that's likely the problem, then again first thing I learnt in any and all IT courses I did was do not use IE.

I tend to vote in the gallery every now and then. I don't time myself but I think I go on something like a 15-20 min voting spree. Of course it also helps if you post the image as a link to it in the gallery, so if I see something cool I can just click and vote.
